I thought it might be an announcement about Muammar Gaddafi. I wonder what is taking Obama so long ... he is almost 30 minutes late ...
 
I come back after years just to say this: I'm going to be drinking a shot of my best scotch tonight, but it isn't the bastard I am toasting. Its for US military ordinance and the grim reaper himself. The world today has become a better place.

This certainly helps. I'm watching Obama speak right now and, Suddenly, I don't hate him. I can't say how long it will last, but Obama is about to see a huge bump in the polls.

We finally got the bastard! Three cheers for our troops and for president Obama!

I don't know I find the news of his death a little anti-climatic. I wonder if there will be a bombing in his honor?

Good Bye Osama Bin Laden. . .

You will be sorely missed. . . missed, in that your death--the actual dying part--should have taken a few days and involved a great deal more pain at the hands of a skilled practitioner of agony. Would that there were none as talented as Torquemada to deliver the final blow.

You didn't deserve a relatively instant end that you met. But what's done is done. Your life is over and I hope with that, so will end our time in Afghanistan.

I gain peace in knowing that Virginia Boys and Limey's chased you and your pernicious lot round and round that rancid rock you call your home. During that time, they killed those whom you loved and trusted. They took your wealth. They disassembled your decaying network and cut you out of your true homeland and the remaining family that lives there. They cut you off from every creature comfort available. They isolated you from humanity and forced you to live in caves on on the dirt--to which you have now appropriately returned. They caused you suffering--both physical and emotional--that you so greatly deserve. And we rejoice in that.

I don't believe in hell, but if I did, I surely wish you well there.

I don't understand how people can be so happy for the death of someone. Whether hitler, OBL, ..

So is the war(s) over? That would be something to be happy about.

It's the excuse Obama has been waiting for. I hope it works. The time in Afghanistan is almost over. The hearts and minds won't be won. The taliban is gone, and we'll always be close enough to see to it that they are never truly safe.

Time to close up shop and bring 'em home.
