John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers - The Bluesbreakers Featuring Eric Clapton
With Eric Clapton, recently removed from The Yardbirds, on guitar, and John McVie on bass, maybe the best blues lp ever recorded.
On tap: John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers - Hard Road
With Clapton gone to form Cream with Jack Bruce (who had also played bass with the Bluesbreakers at one point) and Ginger Baker, Peter Green replaced him on guitar, and brought his vocals to the group, which were better than Mayall's. Mick Fleetwood also was on drums with the band on this lp. Green, McVie and Fleetwood would then leave the group to form Fleetwood Mac.
