I met Robert Fripp at a dinner party once, he's a very nice and gentle fellow. King Crimson were very ahead... If they reformed they would clean up!

Why should they reform for the way they are is what made them who they are!

Freshly ripped from a CD I haven't listened to in years: Nuclear Assault, Handle With Care.

One testament to technology, though, is that this 1989 album sounds as good in 192kb/s .m4a as it does in 1.4mb/s .aiff. Newer albums don't come out that way; you can really hear the compression, er .... But this ol' thang comes out sounding pretty cool.

And then the world endured, a victory won
Against an insane man and his cohorts
But once the war was done, blind fear prevailed
And years of darkness came, freedom was nailed

We become the enemy
When freedom dies for security

We let our freedom die, we let it wane
We feared an enemy's atomic rain
But what was on our minds, what we became
We and the enemy
We are the same

"When Freedom Dies"

You say a double standard's OK
I'm telling you that this is insane
What is it that you've got in your fist
Could it be another one of your lists

No place in this country for this
Everyone has to have an equal place
Nazis, they lost it 40 years ago
Rednecks just realize this a little slow

You say a double standard's OK
I'm telling you that this is insane
What is it that you've got in your fist
Could it be another one of your lists

That's like me saying, 'Why should I go back in business? After all, the way I am, is what made me who I am'... sounds pompous enough but it makes no sense.

They should reform to make money is what I meant.

Look at the Rolling Stones, they never really changed who they were only what they wrote! Many groups can remain "as they were" so to say and just write for todays listeners as well as themselves. As the times change so does music and musicians and the way they write, but staying with their original concepts and ideas.

The prodigy - always outnumbered, never outgunned.

... seriously, what the fuck? Bring on the old prodigy... hyperspeed, no good, voodoo people, breathe, firestarter... but what the fuck is this new shit? Bah! fuckers... too many pills...

edit- alright, hotride is ok, but the rest is shyte.

Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes by Paul Simon

a-wa) O kodwa u zo-nge li-sa namhlange
(a-wa a-wa) Si-bona kwenze ka kanjani
(a-wa a-wa) Amanto mbazane ayeza
She's a rich girl
She don't try to hide it
Diamonds on the soles of her shoes

He's a poor boy
Empty as a pocket
Empty as a pocket with nothing to lose
Sing Ta na na
Ta na na na
She got diamonds on the soles of her shoes
She got diamonds on the soles of her shoes
Diamonds on the soles of her shoes
Diamonds on the soles of her shoes

People say she's crazy
She got diamonds on the soles of her shoes
Well that's one way to lose these
Walking blues
Diamonds on the soles of her shoes

She was physically forgotten
Then she slipped into my pocket
With my car keys
She said you've taken me for granted
Because I please you
Wearing these diamonds

And I could say Oo oo oo
As if everybody knows
What I'm talking about
As if everybody would know
Exactly what I was talking about
Talking about diamonds on the soles of her shoes

She makes the sign of a teaspoon
He makes the sign of a wave
The poor boy changes clothes
And puts on after-shave
To compensate for his ordinary shoes

And she said honey take me dancing
But they ended up by sleeping
In a doorway
By the bodegas and the lights on
Upper Broadway
Wearing diamonds on the soles of their shoes

And I could say Oo oo oo
As if everybody here would know
What I was talking about
I mean everybody here would know exactly
What I was talking about
Talking about diamonds

People say I'm crazy
I got diamonds on the soles of my shoes
Well that's one way to lose
These walking blues
Diamonds on the soles of your shoes

The track “We don’t rock” really rocks!!

Also the first White Stripes album. Well worth checking out!
