'Frank Black Francis'

CD1 -- home demo's from 1987. Very nice.
CD2 -- Weird, unnapealing techno makeovers for the most popular pixies songs.

Utter crap and uber-goodness:

Nocturnus - The Key
(Yay)

Absence of Faith, a tribute to Nine Inch Nails.
(Eww. Godawful. Only bought it for one cover, back to the store it goes)

St. Matthew's Passion - well, half of it. Yummy Bach goodness.

Southern Lord - sampler.

Decent. Good. Then - oh dear christ, not King Diamond style vocals. Stop! Some good stuff on here.

Velvet Underground - Live in Paris.
Nice.

I said I wanna be a singer like Lou Reed I like Lou Reed she said sticking her tounge in my ear...

Have been for a while. Right now my musical tastes have become fast death metal and mellow stuff like Floyd and the Velvet Underground.

Keeping a common theme this evening with one group that was formed from former members of 3 other groups.

Vanilla Fudge - Vanilla Fudge
Ted Nugent & the Amboy Dukes - Loaded For Bear
Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels - Devil With a Blue Dress On

who all had former members join together to form...

Cactus - 'ot 'n sweaty

My listening right at this moment 07.21.98 Phish. A beautiful AC/DC Bag is playing right now, with Trey going nicely through the solo into an absolutely heavenly Fluffhead. God Bless.

Today - for the first time since January 5th - it's CHRISTMAS SONGS!

Anything from Celtic flute carols to Cliff Richard to Boney M to Bing Crosby to Weird Al Yankovic's sent-up festive pop tunes... all the MP3s I've kept unused in a hidden directory most of the year.

I figure one shouldn't play them before Advent, and not after the 12th day of Christmas - otherwise, Christmas songs aren't special any more. But, for the next few weeks, I intend to get my stocking fillers' worth out of them.

Jimi Hendrix ~ Electric Ladyland
Tom Waits ~ Blue Valentine
Rick Wakeman ~ The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur
Rick Wakeman ~ Journey To The Centre Of The Earth
Lewis Ray Cammarata ~ Monster in Disguise

:m: Peace.

Snow Patrol ~ Last Straw
Red Hot Chilli Peppers ~ Someone else's pick of songs (It's not an album title)
