Well the famous saying I know of is "everyone's equal, but some are more equal than others". It kills anyone's arguments when they want to try and justify the Soviet or Chinese regimes as regimes of equality, blows the myth right out of the water that they were anything but brutal dictatorships, and that China for all its progress continues to be such. I did read Animal Farm and thought it was brilliant, but I didn't recall the quote originating from that story- it probably did though, now that you mention it.
