Draqon: "Don't be ashamed to admit democracy acting the same exact way."

USAmerican democracy is having the first serious think in quite some time.

anyways this Gaza business is better be finished quickly, either Israelis dead or Palestinians dead, does not matter...as long as the war makes this all silent. I guess its better if Palestinians die since Israelis got more history behind them and more influences, so they better kill every last Palestinian as quickly as possible. This war is tiresome.

That sort of thinking makes a perpetual circle, jerk.

the perpetual circle is going on now...with neither Palestinians dying completely off or Israelis dying completely off, the children are suffering and its all too much to bear. The sooner one of them dies, the better.

Billy T comments:
A nuclear Moslem nation now only needs to add small strap-on boosters to reach Tel Aviv. Perhaps Israel is still safe under a MAD understanding with Pakistan (as with the US/USSR during the cold war), as they have subs with nuclear tipped missiles, I am almost sure, and they can retaliate, even if 2000+Km is beyond the round trip range of Israeli planes. However, given the political instability in Pakistan, mutual hatred between the extremists on both sides of the Moslem/Jew divide, etc. I would trust MAD less than I did when it was the US/USSR's MAD.

Thus I think this is another reason for Israel to switch to the Defensive alternative from the High Kill Ratio retaliatory policy. Primary reason, from Israeli POV remains the probable elimination of all Israeli deaths by terrorists, but as that switch to Defense would greatly reduce the loss of innocent Palestine lives, the anger against Israel in the Pakistani army controlling these nuclear missiles would be reduced.

palestinians dont want aid:
Two soldiers were moderately wounded and 11 more sustained light wounds early Saturday morning after a Palestinian terror cell detonated a car bomb at the Kerem Shalom goods crossing near the security fence along the border in the southern Gaza Strip.

Exchanges of fire ensued as IDF troops engaged the Palestinian gunmen, who were apparently attempting to infiltrate the crossing under the cover of heavy fog. A second car bomb, which had also been driven into the crossing, failed to detonate.

"The terror organizations are trying to force Israel to stop transferring goods, to exacerbate the difficult situation in the Gaza Strip and then accuse Israel of causing it," he added.

The Kerem Shalom crossing is a vital cargo artery, through which dozens of trucks transporting goods into Gaza pass every day. The crossing is not open on Saturdays and troops from the Bedouin Desert Reconnaissance Unit secure the facility

I bet Spocko would rather blind and deafen himself than watch Al-Jazeera channel.

It would probably be like a kind of torture to him, having to watch what Israeli settlements, military checkpoints, snipers, destruction of homes and property, is actually doing to Palestinians and why there's so much hatred.

But then, he wouldn't have any real conception of what it's like to have your door kicked in at 3am, and being told you have 10 minutes to leave your house, because there's a bulldozer waiting to destroy it. It has to be destroyed because there's a new illegal settlement being built nearby, and houses within a certain perimeter might give the "terrorists" safe cover.

Or what happens when the brave pilots launch missiles into crowded markets to take out a car. Or why so many soldiers are suffering from various mental problems - despite loyally following orders, believing in the Jewish cause, and being as Jewish as they can be, they can't shake off that feeling people get when they know they've murdered innocent civilians. It must get quite difficult for them.

i read al jazeera on occasions, i read what muslims in muslim sites say, i have no problem with what they think and say.

i never felt i have something to hide. but if thinking that abut me makes you more convinced you are right and i know shit, so whatever :D

i couldnt really care less.

thats ridiculous. and im tired of the fullish use of words such as Apartheid in this context as this is war not some racial separation.
Actually, as others have noted, the situation hasn't risen to apartheid yet. Under apartheid the blacks had their own states, their own economies, etc, with borders recognized by the South African government.

This situation is still in the Warsaw Ghetto stage. Apparently the Zionists learned ethnic crowd control from their former masters, without noticing that it didn't really work without certain other features.

a Ghetto for jews. any arab can walk safe in tel aviv, but a jew without protection in gaza is like a walking corpse.

too bad those arabs are firing on their own supplies.

By that logic, the USA, Canada and Australia haven't risen to Apartheid yet, since the Native Americans and Aborigines don't have their own states.

Obviously South Africa was humanitarian ahead of its time.

the palestinians holiday(passover) gift of the day:

A boy was lightly injured by shrapnel Monday after a Qassam rocket landed in a community in the western Negev.

Ilan Arad, the boy's father, told Ynet, "We had just returned from the north and the boy was sitting at the back seat of the car. As we arrived at the community we heard the Color Red (alert system), and the Qassam landed in our backyard.

"The shrapnel infiltrated the car near the fuel tank and hit the boy's shoulder. He was evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment."

Didn't die did he?

Today is the first day of Eid-Al-Adha in which all Muslims in the whole world celebrate: Men, women, and children are expected to dress in their finest clothing to perform Eid prayer in any mosque. Muslims who can afford to do so sacrifice their best domestic animals (usually sheep, but also camels, cows, and goats) as a symbol of Ibrahim's (Abraham's) sacrifice. According to the Quran a large portion of the meat has to be given towards the poor and hungry people so they can all join in the feast which is held on Eid-Al-Adha. The regular charitable practices of the Muslim community are demonstrated during Eid-Al-Adha by the concerted effort to see that no impoverished Muslim is left without sacrificial food during these days. People in these days are expected to visit their relations, starting with their parents, then their families and friends.

Since I was born on this occupied land, I have heard people around me saying, “We hope that the next Eid-Al-Adha will be come and to celebrate at same time that Palestine will be liberated from the Israeli occupation, establishing our independent state and Jerusalem as a capital of it and refugees return to their native homes.”

In fact, the situation here has deteriorated. Israeli occupation has continued it's policy against Palestinian civilians, killing Palestinian civilians, imposing siege, poverty and unemployment range is increasing, destroying Palestinian houses and also increasing of prisoners and settlements numbers... Every Palestinian family celebrates Eid with big pain because all of them have had the sad experience of losing someone, have been injured or prisoners or they have are homeless .

Today, the 43rd patient died as a result of imposing siege on Gaza Strip. Yesterday, 13 Palestinians were killed by Israelis through assassination operations, targeting them by Israeli helicopters and discovery planes.

or stuff?

Gaza celebrates Eid except the suffering:
The United Nations office for the co-ordination of humanitarian affairs made a report about the economical situation in Gaza strip in which they said:
- More Gazans than ever need food and direct assistance;
- Fuel shortages have threatened essential services and water supply;
- Life-saving treatments are not available in Gaza’s hospitals;
- 17 per cent of patients with referrals were refused exit for treatment in Israel, East Jerusalem or overseas;
- The on-going isolation of Gaza threatens the local economy;
- Baby milk, medicines, and cooking oil are increasingly scarce;
- Hundreds of businesses have gone bankrupt due to ban on imports/exports;
- Thousands of laborers have lost their jobs due to the collapse of the building industry;
- Building projects worth US$370 million are on hold indefinitely.

Eid-Al-Adha under the Israeli siege on Gaza Strip

maybe we can go back enough and find out how much suicide bombers visited tel aviv during the holidays in the cheerful days of oslo.

It was the last Muslim festival. And its not like the siege has been lifted, since June 2007 until now.

So its more like an ongoing enjoyment of Israeli hospitality.

Here is another one:

The Eid Slaughter in Gaza!

If you look at last week report by Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, it tells you the never ending story: 28 Palestinians, 17 of whom including 2 children and a woman are civilians, were killed by IOF. Each of the two children was killed together with the father of each. 6 of the victims were extra-judicially executed by IOF in 3 separate attacks…

such hospitality they fired on the supplies we give them. palestinians dont want our help, so who cares. let them rot. its not like they would do the same for us if the situation was reversed.

And here is Israel's passover gift to Palestinians

Body of 15 year old Palestinian boy found mutilated in Israeli settlement

At 3pm on Wednesday, 16th April, the mutilated body of 15 year old Hammad Nidar Khadatbh was found in lands of the illegal Israeli settlement of Al-Hamra by his father, who was out searching for his missing son.

Hammad had left the house at 9am on Tuesday, 15th April to work on the family’s land, located near the stolen agricultural lands of the settlement. As the second eldest son, he was picking cucumbers for the family rather than going to school, to help with the income of his struggling family. At evening he failed to return home, and so his father and other family members immediately went searching for him. They found nothing. They set out again the next day, Wednesday, and found his body in a place they had searched the day before - clearly dumped overnight.

Hammad’s body was naked, bloated, and tortured. His neck was broken, and his face had been smashed in with rocks. One finger had been cut off and there were multiple holes in his torso, seemingly made by a sharp, round implement - something like a pen, his family explained. An Israeli police officer who arrived on the scene to investigate the incident confirmed that Hammad had been murdered, but made no comment as to by whom. Hammad’s body was immediately taken to the coroner in Jerusalem, but the report on the exact cause of his death will not be available for another week.
