Here is the post I promised a few pages back on small part of the technology that is the real threat to Israel:
The real Palestinian threat to Israel is a biological warfare plague. Suicide bombers, Gaza Rockets, etc. do not represent a significant threat to Israel as they kill far fewer Israelis than automobile accidents. Likewise the Israeli IDF’s direct killing of Palestinians, even in a seldom achieved 50 to 1 ratio, is also not much of a threat to Palestine. The real Israeli threat to the Palestine people is the slow deaths due to mal nutrition, poor sanitation, interruption of electricity and other energy supplies and especially the depressing, hate generating, prison like confinement (closed ports, airports and all borders), which makes a viable economy impossible. Eventually, the lack of clean drinking water will be fatal to those refusing to flee into a neighboring Arab country to permit Israel’s final stage of expansion.
I know very little about plague agents. Inhalation anthrax spores or Ebola virus both seem effective choices to me, but weaponizing them for aerial dispersal is necessary so some other agent may be preferred, if your objective is to kill most urban Israelites. I have given about 15 minutes thought to possible delivery technologies. I am sure there are ample funds available to those who do wish Israel harm to hire experts to spend many months on the delivery technology as well as the selecting and developing the agent(s).
Israel in the not too distant future will be destroyed by a plague if current retaliatory policies continue in ignorance and hate instead of Israel’s adoption of a true defensive plan that keep these two hostile peoples apart for a couple of generations. – Long enough for all of rage filled haters of both sides to die away peacefully of old age in their beds. Several years ago, I suggest one such possible and affordable plan,* but it is not perfect – others may be better – but it has a chance to save Israel, which the current policy does not.
After Israeli killed more than 1000 in Lebanon during a failed effort recover 2 captured soldiers, most of the world, including Brazil,** is now at least mildly hostile to Israel. Israel is becoming isolated. - A fatal mistake for a tiny country with a low birthrate, critically dependent upon US financial and military support , especially as the US is now financially struggling and desperate to disengage from Middle Eastern problems, most of which hurt the US only because of US’s support for Israel.
My purpose here is only to try to get some Israelis who are too blinded by hate to see the real biological threat to Israel’s that is coming. They prefer to continue current policy. – I.e. to stay the course with a failed expanding chain of retaliations, which recruits more terrorists every year. I am not very optimistic that the Israel body politics can be turned away from the current “high kill ratio” RETALTION POLICY towards a TRULY DEFENSIVE effort, but that is the purpose of this post – a supplement to my earlier posts outlining one approach to defending Israel for a few generations until most of the extreme haters have died.
In an effort to open a few hate-blinded eyes to the real danger to Israel, here are a few ways to disperse a lethal infectious aerosol agent:
(1) Simple hand-pump “puffer” air-aspirators used while walking down the aisles in a dark theater (where the audience is distracted and the darkness prevents the spores from being seen in scattered light). This requires one willing to also die but should be able to inoculate a hundred or so carriers who will soon disperse and infect several thousand more before anyone becomes sick. The terrorist can meet an assistant for a refill of the “puffer” with spores and visit several more theaters that same day and others for several more days before he is too sick to continue. That works out to a reversed kill ratio of about 10,000 to 2 or much greater if there is no known cure, as in the Ebola case, and the infection spreads throughout Israel.
(2) Spore-filled, black balloons, about a meter in diameter, with simple pin prick device triggered by urban lights of Tele Vive released on a moonless night from small boat offshore and up wind from Tela Vive. A tack on a plastic strap spring held by fuse wire burnt thru by photo transistor and a watch battery would work and weigh less than twice the watch battery’s weight. Each could carry at least a pound of inhalation anthrax spores. The boat should be able to fill with He and release one every minute as it slowly goes along the coast, using the distant city’s sky light as a guide as to when to start. Requires some luck and knowledge of local winds and probably all on the boat will die. Diurnal coastal “on shore" and "off shore" winds are usually quire reliable so probably can infect >50% of everyone in Tele Vive in a few hours.
(3) Same as (2) but uses roughly one meter wing span model airplanes, guided by GPS, instead of balloons. Each flies about 3 meters above the sea using simple ultra sound echo altitude control (to avoid radar detection, until when it climbs to a about a 1000 feet over its GPS assigned sector of Tele Vive.) To launch a dozen planes, the boat would need to be a little bigger - small fishing boat could be stolen or bought for the task. Also it is completely feasible to launch from Syria etc. - An APL friend of mine, now dead I think, M.H. held all important model airplane records. His fuel filled plane of approximately this size was the first to cross the Atlantic Ocean. - He made it on the second attempt. GPS is a big help and light weight.
(4) Postal letters.
(5) Window or roof of up-wind high-rise apartment or other tall building.
(6) Etc. – not hard to try and with very oppressed people, especially if believing martyrs go straight to heaven, no shortage of volunteers willing to die.

** Brazil became mildly hostile on the first eve of that war when an Israeli rocket killed a Brazilian family of four sleeping in their beds. Fifty one other innocents died that first night and many bridges were destroyed. More details at:
