This town looks like a good place to set up my computer sales business.

I'm opening a little shop in the main street, right next to the gun shop. I'm sure I'll be safe with the gun shop owner protecting his premises - and hopefully mine as well!

If anyone wants to buy a cheap copy of Vista, imported direct from my supplier in China, just let me know.

Ah, I can just see the cash starting to roll in! This town will be a fantastic place for me to stay. Crime problem? What crime problem? I don't know anything about that.

This is going to be very difficult for us innocent townspeople, with 5 mafia, 1 alien and only 4 of us innocents.

In fact, how can the innocent players hope to win, when the mafia can already outvote them? Won't the mafia just vote out the townspeople one by one, and kill one every night?

It's like the mafia gets rid of two people each day. The townspeople only get rid of one person each day, and we don't know who the mafia are. The alien probably won't help the townspeople much, either.

I think we need a few more townspeople in this game, or it will be a guaranteed mafia win.

Anyway, I think I need to register a vote to start off with:

I really don't hate Vista. I just don't want to upgrade my computer to run it right now.

actually james you miss calculated,
there are 6 townspeople, 4 mafia and 1 alien.

The under cover cop all though listed as mafia in the first post is actually a townsperson (i fucked that up, i copied my own list without thinking).

apart from creating havoc the aliens only job is to stay in the game so really they are also a townsperson.

i know its not an exact 2:1 balance but its close enough given the advantage that one of the townspeople know who all the mafia are
