Serena looks like a 1920 stereotype of a black person and Naomi who is Japanese/Haitian looks like a white California blond.

And the remarks by other tennis players, almost all of whom (male or female) either dissed the umpire for ruining Osaka's big day or were carefully neutral.
And compared the cartoonist's caricatures with photos of the people involved, to see what exaggerations etc the cartoonist regarded as best making his point.
So: Serena's mouth gets bigger, and her lips get thicker, and her forehead shrinks - head to body ratio shrinks. Naomi's skin gets lighter, her hair gets lighter and straighter, her body gets slimmer, her facial bone structure morphs into delicacy, head to body ratio increases.

was slimmed down, lightened up, and fitted with straight hair, in order to make a point about Serena's supposed meltdown.
Not sure why nobody in cartoon world seems to have picked up on Serena channeling the spirits of McEnroe et al, and continuing the tradition of tennis great racket smashing into the feminist age.
But I am fairly sure I know why the cartoonist - in the process of overlooking the comparison with the famous tantrums of bad boy tennis players and the entire sexist angle of the controversy - fitted the Osaka caricature with big tits. I'm pretty sure that was just habit.
