Its a war for resources. Stable governments develop notions of independence and cannot be counted on to deliver the goods as a buyers market. Note that protecting US interests is the primary consideration of these wars.

I don`t condone violent extremism. I don`t condone violence against innocents. I advocate understanding of the underlying causes of the violence and taking honest and concrete steps to end the cycle.
And yet you've been consistently defending the violence of Muslims against Muslims in Afghanistan. You've been cheering their "resistance" even as those same Muslim terrorists blow up more innocent Muslim women and children in Afghani marketplaces. And you say you don't condone violence???
