Is Atheism a virus?
It infects the mind of the Adult, then the Adult infects the Child.

Is Religion a Virus?
It infects the mind of the Adult, then the Adult infects the Child.
Nope, it is collection of methods for human pschiological satiation.
Religion doesn't do this. A bunch of people get together and play, talk about life issues, support each other, etc. It's meeting human psychological needs. What is a virus are the unfortunate claims about objective reality that most religions make. There are omnipotent life forms whom will torture you, there are sourcerers whom will hex you, your consciousness will persist after your brain's processes have completely fallen to entropy, etc. That type of virus is called a Meme and it often preys upon people's fears and desires.
Whether the majority or minority are infected says nothing of whether it's a virus.

It infects the mind of the Adult, then the Adult infects the Child.
'Religion' is a word covering a vast area of human experience, practice and ideas. Sometimes the virus metaphor might fit. Sometimes not.Is Religion a Virus?

And some viruses seem rather neutral.Virus or bacterium? Some bacteria are beneficial.

It infects the mind of the Adult, then the Adult infects the Child.
