Now explain when we supported Ho Chi Min as the Leader of Vietnam? Yes we provided support to him as a ally against the Japanese, but were did he have any standing as the Governing Representative of Vietnam?

So what was your motive in supporting him at the beginning? And how can an occupied country have a governing representative? In fact, you supported him until he became a representative then dumped him for France.

You must be very naive if you think the US went to war with Vietnam to halt communism. It went to war with Vietnam because it did not have the balls to go to war with an equally armed contender for power, the USSR. Vietnam was a game, the people of Vietnam pawns.

Ah, a self-contradictory assertion peppered with trolling. Classic S.A.M.

Or could it be that the Communist didn't have the Balls to go to war with the United States and used these so called wars of liberation and the people they supported as pawns in their own plans for world hegemony.

You know, if you're going to ignore me, there's an easier way to go about it. Simply forgo replying; it conveys the same message.

Why would I ignore you? When you respond to the post rather than express your opinions about me, I'll respond.:p

Come on S.A.M, take the little mustache and the dictator fatigues off.

Yeah, lookit all the countries the USSR invaded to liberate the people. Why they are in Afghanistan and Iraq right now.

It was called WWII ally against the Japanese, French Colony, treaty obligations, we never supported him as representing and being the representative of the Government of Vietnam.

Its an easy pattern to detect. All the times the US was flexing muscle, it made sure only to attack those countries that were too weak to defend themselves. Still does.

He sang the US declaration of Independence, because he was so sure the Americans would be there for him. Like all others who have depended on US support, he soon learned better.

"All men are created equal. They are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness"

This immortal statement was made in the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America m 1776. In a broader sense, this means: All the peoples on the earth are equal from birth, all the peoples have a right to live, to be happy and free.

...The French have fled, the Japanese have capitulated, Emperor Bao Dai has abdicated. Our people have broken the chains which for nearly a century have fettered them and have won independence for the Fatherland. Our people at the same time have overthrown the monarchic regime that has reigned supreme for dozens of centuries. In its place has been established the present Democratic Republic.

For these reasons, we, members of the Provisional Government, representing the whole Vietnamese people, declare that from now on we break off all relations of a colonial character with France; we repeal all the international obligation that France has so far subscribed to on behalf of Vietnam and we abolish all the special rights the French have unlawfully acquired in our Fatherland.

The whole Vietnamese people, animated by a common purpose, are determined to fight to the bitter end against any attempt by the French colonialists to reconquer their country.

We are convinced that the Allied nations which at Tehran and San Francisco have acknowledged the principles of self-determination and equality of nations, will not refuse to acknowledge the independence of Vietnam. -Vietnam Declaration of Independence, 1945

What a deluded fool

Look at all the so called Wars of Liberation around the world supported by the Russian and Chinese Communist, they got a lot of people killed, and never really risk any of their won people, now who has more balls? the one who is willing to fight right along side of the people they support, or some one who provides the weapons and starts the fight and then lets others die for them.

Your still squirming and failing to answer the debate.

And the Thread is still about;

Iraq Veterans vulnerable to commit suicide

Why would I ignore you?

Presumably some combination of cognitive dissonance stemming from the presentation of uncontroversial historical facts which contradict your baseless narrative and an inability to formulate a sufficiently inflammatory non-sequitur in the 1.2 seconds you dedicate to formulating responses. So instead you tried to marginalize me on the cheap by simply asserting that my reply didn't count. It's a pathetic and disrespectful tactic, and I'd be insulted you thought it would work on me if I weren't already aware of your complete rhetorical incompetence.

When you respond to the post rather than express your opinions about me, I'll respond.:p

I did that, and what I got was your usual nonsense. So I called bullshit on you. Trying to condescend your way out of this position isn't going to work: your long history of consistently childish behavior has left you without the requisite respect and, anyway, anyone can read the posts in question to see for themselves.

Yeah, all the liberation BS does not seem to convince the veterans. Does it?

Backstabbing people for personal gain. What do you call such a person, Buffy? A liberator?

What you did was offer your perspective, which as I said, is a naive view that ignores the fact that the US did not ever fight any communist state that was equally armed or able to defend itself. Basically all they did, as in Iraq, is to demonstrate that they can kill a lot of people who have little or nothing to do with the ideology they are purporting to fight against.

Have you ever considered simply writing a computer program to automatically generate and post responses for you? It would be simple enough, save you a lot of time, and quite possibly be more persuasive.

Naive, is thy name, SpAM, if anyone here is naive in their view of world politics it is you.
