If religion is the opiate of the masses, what gets atheists high?

The study of the universe is only exciting to a physicist. What about the poor slob blue collar atheist? Atheistic war went out with the fall of the USSR. Atheists can't take credit for diseases. And, what athestic politician have I ever heard of?
 
So, the fact that they are fiction doesn't change the fact that those books are more exciting than atheism.

I would argue that religion is boring because it follows the same doctrine over and over. Obviously you are biased in the worst way, and thats the uneducated way. im sorry for you
 
What's so wonderful about the existence of the universe? Obviously, a large collection of subatmoic particles have combined in mostly predictable ways creating larger structures that we see today. Ho hum! The fact that it exists is really only good for pondering a little while, as you don't get any good answers and are left stumped. Boring.

I see so you know all that there is to know, the universe is full of a near infinite amount of things that we dont know about, and might not ever know about, thats whats so interesting.
 
Those "things" are just energy. Why get so excited about little particles whizzing around?

the doctrine that makes up religion and some fo the people in it all exist in reality so, it is part of reality, and asking an atheist why they are not in church is like asking a deaf person why they dont listen to an ipod

Replace boldfaced word(s) with 'the bible', and the dark green print with "outrageous claims/stories and contradicting statments", and you'd still have a true statement.
 
Well, if atheists cherish reality so much, and religion is part of reality, why aren't you atheists in church?
 
I believe I told you why, if you dont meet the requirment for going to church you dont go......
 
God is exciting. He'll throw you in Hell on the slightest whim. You'll crackle and burn for eternity. He'll interfere on life on Earth, so that one team of fans praying to him will win a football game over another. Yes. God is quit an interesting character.
