If God existed he could end all this suffering right now

God does exist and He does come to us in many ways, we just refuse to believe because He doesn't do it in a way that we think He should. God has given us His word to guide and direct us and our paths, to help solve problems here and now. Many times the answer is right in front of us but we ignore it because it isn't what we think it should look like. The sufferings we suffer and many tragedies have came upon us due to human error, yet many blame God. Remember when Adam and Eve was in the Garden they both had a choice to eat from the tree of life or from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, yet they chose what they wanted not what God wanted them to have.

Was it the right choice?

Is it better to have your eyes opened and have a moral sense or is it better to be as bright as a brick and never, as God says they did, become as Gods?

Nah! He sucks up to the explicit atheists too much. :)

jan.

Yes. Strange for someone who is a religionist to do eh?

It is because the morals of believer is quite inferior to that of most atheists. At least atheists do not have a double standard because they cannot stomach their God's action and must find a way to forgive him even as they would condemn a man for the same actions.
