Feds Bust Terror Plot at JFK

The liberals don't believe there is a problem with terror. They think we're making this stuff up. If we stop even one terrorist from getting beyond the planning stage, it's well worth it. And remember, we could capture binLaden and the liberals would still never be happy. They hate President Bush that much.

More delusional lies on the part of the hate-wing party. How was this terror attacked stopped? POLICE WORK. I have said all along that is how to deal with the terror threat. War is practically useless.

If you want to kill a weed do you cut off the top, or do you rip out the roots?

That's what the war is doing, stop saying it's meaningless.

So, exactly what exactly is the "top" and what are the "roots" that you're referring to?

Update:
Feds thought the 3 muslim terrorists were linked to one of the most wanted al Qaeda leaders, Adnan Shukrijumah, known to have operated out of Guyana and Trinidad. They heard repeated references to "Adnan" during the extensive wiretaps conducted on the suspects' telephone conversations, including calls to Guyana and Trinidad.

Some of the 9/ll hijackers attended a south FL mosque run by Shukrijumah's now deceased father.

The 2 year investigation was brought to a conclusion when one suspect was about to leave jurisdictions where U.S. authorities had the ability to monitor his activities.

Sources said the plotters had "indirect" links to overseas terror elements, and the plot had links to Guyana, Trinidad and possibly Germany.

Yeah, that domestic spying sure is bad...

The roots are the Muslims (radicals). Where do the Muslims live? The Middle East. Last time I checked Iraq was in the Middle East. Fair Game.

BTW people, it's not like Bush said, 'Oh let's have some fun and start a war!' He had good reason to suspect that Iraq was hiding WMDs and he took the appropriate actions. Fine we didn't find any, but do you think that even if we left now, the radical Muslims would go, 'Oh, they left, it's cool now'. I'd have to say that you're the delusional one if you think so Sam.

Well said. Bush's policy has been, perhaps, too effective for his own good. It's been so long since we've actually had a terrorist attack; the public is begining to think it's safe to elect democrats. Should one become president, the public will soon know better.

Yeah. We just busted another planned attack today.
If the majority of Americans are so stupid to elect a democrat, it will be the end of America as we know it.

Nope, just complaining about relatively brainless people who cannot be satisfied WHICHEVER way it is.
If you read the cascade of posts from you, baron, and sandy, the word "whining" is hard to avoid. Tone of voice, as me mum used to say - - -

Here's the thing...you wouldn't believe anything. The suspects could have had guns, ammo, and explosives, and you'd still say that it was an elaborate ploy by the Bush administration to help build support for the war on terror.
I'm still waiting for the first sting operation that actually turns up guns, ammo, or explosives, and a solid plan to use them.

The sting operations that have hit the papers don't pass the smell test, for the most part. No elaborate ploys need be involved - plain old simple politics explains things quite adequately.

Meanwhile, police work has been of far more benefit than military force, so far. In fact police work has actually helped, probably, (and lack of police work has hurt) - whereas the military is digging us into a pit.

Yeah, previously there were terrorists attacks almost everyday.

Okay, and what's the "top" then? And, do you mind being a bit more specific? Which Muslim radicals are the roots, all of them? Certain group of them? Certain figureheads?

I think that the liberals may think that if they elect a democrat to office all of this terrorist 'fairytale' (to them) will go away and stuff will be like it was before 9/11.

I'm sorry folks, but the past is the past. Right now I think it would be much, much more useful to look at the future. Do you guys (liberals) know how many terrorists have come across the border illegally from Mexico? Do you know what your fellow Democrats are trying to do? They're trying to make it easier to come across the border (illegally)!!! You guys may think that it's some government conspiracy now, but just wait and see, if a democrat gets into office, I guarantee that there will be another 9/11 equivalent or something greater within the first term. Guaranteed. Let's see how much of a fairy-tale it is then.

So its alright that so many people in Iraq are dying for imaginary WMDs. And you wonder why there are "radical" Muslims.

Unfortunately, the US will never "go back"; its on its way down, most of it due to its own practices.

Alright, since you guys seem to be having trouble with this whole analogy, I'll spell it out for you:

Roots: All radical Muslims in the Middle East convoluting the thoughts of otherwise good people into committing terrorist attacks in the Middle East and US, or anywhere else.

'Top': The people who leave the Middle East and try to commit terror attacks. The reasoning is: If we take them out, great, one less terror attack. Unfortunately people will keep coming from the Middle East to try and kill us (yes, you and me, regardless of what we think about the war.).

So invading countries with no terrorists to create more terrorists challenges this how?

Sam, you guys (I'm assuming your liberal?) are the people who want the US 'back where it was'. The Republicans want the US to become a great place. Do you see the difference? The Democrats look back and wish for things going back, the Republicans look forward and try to make things the best they can be. That's the problem I was trying to convey in my previous post.

Also, radical Muslims have been around since at least the Crusades; it's not something that just 'sprung up' because some retards decided to crash some planes into buildings.

BTW, in case you are having trouble with my usage of the term radical Muslims, they are Muslims who kill because of their religion.

Seeing your most recent post: If you think there were no terrorists in Iraq you're insane.
