that is like saying that if there was a car forum the only thing that should be discussed is peoples desire to drive cars...or 'the psychological desire to sit in a car and step on the pedal'

Sorry, I don't see how you get to this from my statement that someone saying what a forum should be used for isn't a "religious view". Where do cars come into it?

Generally posts are open discussion even when there is an appearence of being targeted towards a specific person (people usually use a personal message for actual direct questions), but you said you actually were just interested in sam's answer.

My interest in fanning the flames of her self absorption is regrettably less than what she might desire and so I tend to immediately drift to more interesting subtopics.

But all kidding aside, I wasn't trying to get your dander up. I try to avoid passive agressive and just go straight out aggresive if I want to give some one a hard time.

Its just too confusing otherwise.

extreme behavior is never good but their are exceptions. IF the extreme behavior is positive then it is not viewed negatively.

Lets list some extreme behaviors (compulsions) which would be considered positive.

GO-
 
Suicide bombing
polygamy
brainwashing of "subjects"
self-mutilation a sign of belief
wearing uniforms
having social gatherings
confronting people who are different



wait. positive? Can you define that?
