Its amazing how many of you have read this and will read this. What does this say about humans? How curious are we? What made you read this? Was it the disclaimer?

People are curious by nature and want to know anything they aren't "supposed to know", but this thread doesn't really demonstrate that, does it?
The simple fact that, judging by the title, it was obvious that you wanted it to be read and were either trying to say something inane (and hopefully clever at least) or were trying to prove a point.
No one would post something on a public forum unless that person wanted it to be read especially if it was entitled "Don't read this!".

Raven- Does the words "Do not Read" mean read? No. I just wanted to see who would and who wouldn't. I'm sure someone read that disclaimer and took it seriously. Thats what marvels me, how different people think, and how they use logic to make decisions. Your logic is completely different from other people, which was what you stated in the above. In some instances, yes.
When it is obvious (due to context, location or other factors) that the writier intended the message to be read.
Such as a billboard, a commercial, a public forum, the cover of a book etc.
It could imply that a secret that should be told, and the writer wants told, is within.
It could demonstrate a sense of humor about the subject.
It could imply a sense of irony or poetic justice about the subject.
Basically, it is akin to me standing in front of a podium set up before a crowd speaking into a microphone yelling, "Don't listen to me!".
If I honestly didn't want people to listen to me, I wouldn't be shouting it into a microphone before a gathering of people, so all the listener can do is assume that I want to be heard, and perhaps I was making some sort of commentary on free speech or some such issue.
