Do you believe in miracles?

Prayer is ineffective without faith. You can pray to win the lottery or help your dying children all you want, but without faith - your prays go unanswered.

It seems to ineffective with faith, too.

Many would disagree that faith is ineffective in bringing about supernatural intervention. But, you are entitled to your opinion.

You know why Jesus walked on water? Shit floats!

The TV is on and there was just a clip from a "special" news story coming on.

Some guy handed another guy a bible and the guy threw it back and said you can wipe your ass with it!! LOL

A doctor performing surgery on a person who has no money and no insurance and who comes to America to have this surgery performed because his country won't educate people to become doctors for the poor.

You have a serious flaw in your responses, most likely due to intellectual dishonesty on your part. You are claiming that millions of Christians praying for something to happen, which isn't happening at all, is due to your assertion they are without faith.

Silly in the extreme.

Those same "many who would disagree" have also prayed for starving children to get food through supernatural intervention. Have children stopped dying from starvation?

That's not silly. Jesus said you needed the faith of a mustard seed to obtain supernatural intervention. Obviously, it is not at all surprising that millions of Christians lack the faith of a mustard seed, otherwise Jesus wouldn't have had to explain it.

So, you are now claiming that not a single Christian has faith?

You're now moving from silly in the extreme to silly in "PLAID!"

Jesus constantly scolded his disciples for their lack of faith. And yet, Jesus considered them his followers. So, quite obviously there is a distinction between being a Christian and having faith.

what does it hurt to believe in miracles? I have faith that doctors I go to are going to do a good job of taking care of me. Some people look at miracles as god doing a good job taking care of them.
what's the harm?
