If I knew for sure I'd hang around. But it won't be the America I grew up in, thankfully, or the one I served as a sailor, or the one that gave me 14 years at Uni, and then wrote off all my loans when I left. So which good old days will they be? None of the above, I bet. Have fun, ya'll.
It would seem that the reason we haven't heard much from the Dems is because they're working night and day in an attempt to save some of America. Putting in safeguards and new measures to make sure Trump and his cabal don't get access to classified materials, and security clearances that don't offer much clearance, securing everything they can to diminish Maga's plans.

Trump is already suggesting sanctions in January against the ICC (and/or judges therein) due to their supposed antisemitism and anti-israel bias in issuing warrants for war crimes to the Israeli PM, Hamas, and a few others. The US is not part of the ICC, fwiw.
He did this in his previous term as well when he sanctioned the lead prosecutor of the ICC investigating alleged war crimes by the US in Afghanistan. Biden ended those sanctions almost as soon as he came in, for being inappropriate.

It reminds me of the GOPAC memo from 1990, which informed Republicans of the sort of language, including specific terms, they should use in describing their own positions, as well as the language they should use to characterize the positions of their opponents--so that they, too, could "speak like Newt Gingrich."
The specific terms, of course, have been updated to include "common sense", "nuanced", "incentivize", etc. to describe their own positions, whilst their opponents are invariably "angry", "emotional", "irrational", and the like.
The vocabulary used to be more, uh, well, they used to just have more words, period. These days they've reduced the preferred vocabulary to about a dozen or so terms that they recycle endlessly. They look at everything strongly. (As do we all; in fact, absolutely everything I do I do strongly.)
