Too many. Then again, such as in Ireland not long ago, how many Catholics died at the hands of Protestants, both being Christian? Too many.
Anyway, sandy, why so unhappy? You have proven to be quite a hearty Christian, therefore I am appalled that you do not cheer on Ahmedinijad. I won't even bother trying to prove that homosexuality is wrong , since I'll just get flamed, but I'd say a large majority of the world hates them, there is no reason to defend them.

Now really, why do you assume that we as Christians should hate and wish for the destruction of the Jews? Jesus was a Jew, and for the prophesy to be fulfilled he allowed them to kill him. he will settle with his own on Judgement Day, it is not for us to do so.

Though I agree with your assessment of Homosexuality as being wrong, why should I hate them? and why should I be happy when a murdering bastard like Ahmadinejad, and the Ayatollahs murder these people because they choose to live a life that we don't agree with, it is still for God to pass judgment on them, but then I forget in Islam, they have a long history of killing people who live different life styles and killing people for their different belief, and it is still going on today.

Buffalo, as you say with the mothers in Ireland, there are Moslems trying to stop what is occuring but their voices aren't loud enough. My main point, however, is that Christianity also contains violence and that it depends on the situation. Can we say Christianity is a violent religion based on the events in Ireland? No, because otherwise every single Christian would be violent. As is the case with Islam, the people behind the violence aren't Moslems, but Moslem extremists. And unfortunately, extremism is too frequent in some areas of the region (luckily not so much Syria).
As for tolerance, you shouldn't be talking, Christian. Christianity doesn't exactly have a great history for tolerance, and Islam during the conquest of Spain was very tolerant to the Spanish culture. Compared to Christianity, Islam is pretty in the middle in the argument of tolerance.
