Any atheists here who were once believers?

I dunno. I'm thinking about a big bang from nothing, the laws of physics not explained, the physics constants not explained, no God in sight, atheists running wild will their pants down,..

There's alot of mysteries in the universe. Does that mean there has to be a magic even MORE mysterious being behind it? We don't know what causes cancer. Does that mean it is created by some infinitely mysterious man in the sky? I think not..One mystery is always closer to understanding than two are.

"I AM the first and the last" sounds more powerful, especially if such a God can create universes. If God created this universe, and atheists refuse to acknowledge the existence of God, then it would appear to the atheists that "nothing" created the universe, which is exactly what cosmologists say. It would really suck for atheists if Christianity turned out to be correct.

Sorry, but Pascal's Wager is not valid.

I know if I were God, and humans weren't paying any attention to me, I would start nudging very large very fast asteroids around (in my quantum fluctuation way). 7 billion buttholes would pucker as a planet killing asteroid skipped across the earth's atmosphere, and then ya'll would be thinking about me.

Yes, that is exactly how a megalomaniac despot behaves. Dead on, bro. :D

Actually no. I'd be thinking about where to take shelter and what things I must prepare in order to survive an "asteroid winter."

You obviously haven't looked into the problem seriously enough. There is nothing anyone can do in the face of a massive asteroid.
No no, God has a good aim. The asteroid would just skip across the atmosphere, and heat it up a few degrees, that's all.

Do you follow any particular faith/religion Mazulu?
Just wondering.

I believe in Spiritualism and Theosophy. I believe in the existence of spirits, angelic beings, and other disembodied entities who exist in a spirit world. I also believe there is higher wisdom to be sought out and experienced. I believe in life after death and reincarnation.

I see. So it's gone from just being an asteroid skipping thru the earth's atmosphere to a "massive asteroid." Change the goalposts much?

No it was you who said "Actually no. I'd be thinking about where to take shelter and what things I must prepare in order to survive an "asteroid winter."
To get an asteroid winter I think that implied a type of direct hit not just a skim past the Earth.
When I was looking into what one would have to do to survive an asteroid winter I came to the conclusion it would be impossible to prepare for it.

Since Mazula said as God he would be knudging many asteroids towards skipping earth's atmosphere, you'd have to be an idiot not to start preparing for the possibility of eminent impact in such a scenario. Unless you're religious, where you just sit inside a church and grovel day and night before the big invisible man in the sky.

What about reality, do you believe in that?
