Animal Pain and humane treatment

Cats & dogs also have a way to communicate their pain. And so do Lobsters, IMO.

Humans do not belong, but I have a feeling you'll be debating that. ;)

Nutmeg gently pats ClueBoy on the head. We can go with that if it helps. :p

Yes, I agree & my point is: We tend to take for granted the pain of those creatures/insects/animals/humans that fail to communicate their pain. Does a comatose patient feel any pain? Would you be just as careful when moving them as you are with an injured child who's screaming at the top of their lungs?

actually its Baboons which dont belong because the other 2 are apes (INCLUDING humans) where as Baboons are monkeys

oh BTW no, comatose pts dont get the same level of respect in there care as other pts unfortunatly. in some situations this is because its not possable (for instance asking before doing CPR) but in others its wrong. For instance i did a placement in intensive care and i was uncomfertable with treating an unconcious pt because i had always previously treated concious pts who i could ask for consent. Anyway one of the things we needed to do was to remove the guys venterlator, manually bag him for a bit and suctucton out his tube. The nurse i was working with just did this about the same way you would treat a training manican, didnt say anything to the pt, just went ahead and did it. About 2 min after that he went up to the pt, put his hand on his shoulder and said "Mr X, are you awake?" and the guy woke up. I jumped a mile and i was talking to the nurse afterwards about the fact it made me uncomfertable and the fact we were doing things to him and talking over him like he was a piece of meat and the nurses responce was "yes, that is very true, as nurses we dont pay enough atention to the "nursing" side of treatment for unconcious pts sadly"

Wait a minute, I think I've got it. It's bugs.
There's no aisle for bugs in supermarkets.
There an aisle for catfood, and, usually opposite, an aisle for dogfood.
But no aisle for bugfood.
Strange, isn't it?
Where do people buy their bugfood from?
