Secularism goes hand in hand with removing God from our society

Removing God, in our daily , goes in line with less respect for life ( please don't bring muslim into the this discussion nor bring history beyond 1500 )
I can see mass murder have increased since 1960 in this country
 
north korea is secular and they don't have respect for life.

middle-east is religious and similar.

it's the type of ethical construct and what that delineates that determines what type of society you have, not a belief in god itself.

what you are alluding to is some type of common reference point for the importance of values and observing/practicing them, the sanctity and respect for life etc. since these are abstract, it's harder to implement on a mass scale without something concrete and the one god concept was a unifying idea.

Secularism was invented by American Christians in an attempt to guarantee religious freedom in a way that was absent in the UK, where they had a single kind of official sect of Christianity, the Church of England.
 
And some of the immigrants to the colonies came here because the Church of England wasn't puritanical enough.

Why don't you have a word with god.Tell him you're upset about things . Report back here on what he suggests should be done to fix things.
 
As a life-long atheist I find claims of religiosity in the US to be amusing. Most Americans who claim a faith are religious for 1/164th of the week, less if the fish are biting. They say they're Christians because that's what they're supposed to say, much in the same way people around here are Cardinals fans.

Up in the North of Ireland atheists ,non believers and others were/are dragooned into one camp or other on the basis of their perceived culture.

If you said you were in neither grotesque camp it was countered "that is not really possible; you have to be one or the other"

My opening was based in the USA in the last 50 years. I have not mentioned international ,but tanks

So we are not what we are supposed to be , you see it , that means we are taking the road to secularism. Than as we strengthen in our secularism we lose respect for God and for life.

We are not supposed to be religious, it was just better to avoid being burned at the stake back when you lot had control. And why should we respect your imaginary friend?

Really? then how do you explain that The US, with a churchgoing percentage of 47%, has 42.01 murders per 100,000 people, while Canada, our neighbor to the North with a churchgoing percentage of 29% has 16.23 murders per 100,000, and The UK, wiht a churchgoing percentage of 20% has only 11.68 murders per 100,000?
I won't go as far as assigning a causation to these numbers, but even the correlation goes contrary to your assertion. A lot of things have changed since 1960. It is specious to pick one out of the bunch to lay the blame on just because it fits your notions.

Sorry I had to go out. The opening said do not discuss before 1600, At that time Catholic religion was king, I don't want to go into more detail.
Why not respect the Creator of nature . If you don't respect nature , so someone's life means to you Noting and for these mass murders life for them means nothing.
