Just shown proof of Jan either lying, being stupid, or sadly demented.
Now an example of his hypocrisy
Must comment on the following, best laugh I have had in years!!!!
That’s interesting.
Can you provide a link?
Jan is asking for a link!!! Oh jesus christ, the bloody irony of it all!!! :p:p:rolleyes::rolleyes:
post 1019
The irony and hypocrisy obvious because she has ignored and derided all reputable links given to him because they validate Darwinism and evolution as fact, and his sky daddy as a myth.

You’re a coward. By making up accusations.
If I am a liar, redefiner of words. Show it.
I have. Care to comment.:D
Also explain why you personally accept darwinism as a scientific fact.
I must have asked near enough 10 times.
And its been answered many times. The reasons though tend to deflate your agenda.
It’s sad that you have to use this kind of tactic to get out of answering hard questions.
Your cunning ploy isn't working because I have shown you as hypocrite and liar, and explained why I accept what professional scientists have learnt and detailed over a hundred years. That has many more orders of magnitude of validity, then parroting what some group of creationists overlords are telling me..or actually you.
I’m asking why the part of the theory I mentioned, is regarded as a scientific fact. I don’t see it, some scientists don’t accept it.
More trolling from Jan as this has also been answered.

paddoboy.

Atheism itself implies God exists

Theism - belief in God, a god, or gods
Atheism - a lack of belief in God, a god, or gods

Both definitions imply God exists.
Atheists simply lack a belief.

There!
So stop with the false allegations.
Is english your second language?
Atheism certainly does not imply any god exists. How bloody stupid!! It applies simply as a"disbelief" in god, or the fact that we have no evidence for such a creature. a disbelief implies it doesn't exist and is a myth. Go back to school and stop redefining words and lying to support your own mythical nonsense. So there! The allegations stand and are actually re-enforced.

I imagine that must be a great life, if you can hack it.
It's like the personal responsibility thing...it's you out there...no one to help..if a bike gang drops in its just me if you see what I mean...law..the cops don't want to come out here even...when I first lived at the other place I had guns cause that was the only way I got respect..Folk don't know what it's like...the only reason I survive is they still think I am crazy and will kill.
It's pretty ordinary believe me.
But even the crazies don't bother me..
All good.
I am lucky it's like I have livedvthree different lives.
Alex

Atheism certainly does not imply any god exists.
That is why I have decided to be neither an atheist or a theist as science need not entertain something either way that has nothing to make it worthy of inclusion in the language...but mainly I have made that choice because it sends Jan into a tail spin.
Alex

but I would love to be able to
Jan I have one place set aside for when the stuff hits the fan, two hundred acres, a kilometer river frontage all you need ..it's there for those who need refuge...timber rocks sand gold in the river..just remember if you need refuge.
Alex

Or perhaps??..no in can't be!!!Is jan a YEC???
Has his cover been finally blown after being hidden for so long?? :D:D:D:D
From Jan's link

"This drives Schweitzer crazy. Geologists have established that the Hell Creek Formation, where B. rex was found, is 68 million years old, and so are the bones buried in it. She’s horrified that some Christians accuse her of hiding the true meaning of her data. “They treat you really bad,” she says. “They twist your words and they manipulate your data.” For her, science and religion represent two different ways of looking at the world; invoking the hand of God to explain natural phenomena breaks the rules of science. After all, she says, what God asks is faith, not evidence. “If you have all this evidence and proof positive that God exists, you don’t need faith. I think he kind of designed it so that we’d never be able to prove his existence. And I think that’s really cool.”

By definition, there is a lot that scientists don’t know, because the whole point of science is to explore the unknown. By being clear that scientists haven’t explained everything, Schweitzer leaves room for other explanations. “I think that we’re always wise to leave certain doors open,” she says."

While obviously she is a christian, she at least adheres to science and the scientific methodology, unlike the fanatical YEC we have trolling at this time.

I agree Alex...I follow what I believe to be right, fair and equitable. I have been called an Atheist many times, and also been called much worse in recent times, simply for stating what I see as reasonable and the truth to boot.
That will never change.

I follow what I believe to be right, fair and equitable

It sounds so simple but to do so is a challenge few humans can manage ...following what is right I interprete simplistically as doing the right thing..not so simple but for me it implies not threatening young children with hell to get them to conform, it implies, as the ignored teaching of JC present, to have respect for other humans which implies that a flippant rejection of the best work of humans is the most evil disrespect that ignorance can give us and so when we endure theists railing against science, representative of our finest human minds, I judge them as neither decent nor rational and worst of all they are entirely disrespectful of the perhaps mythical teachings they present to us as the pillar of their virtue. I and indeed you live their teachings more than they will ever do. And fair..you know what it is to be fair, I know what it is to be be fair, we are after all Aussie the champions of fairness, and yet our scripture citing evangelists have no idea of fair outside their select chosen sect...how fair were the murders of the inquisition, how fair the trial of witches, how fair the genital mutilation of girls ... you know we will run out of month to fully make a list...and equitable...you me but who else...how can we expect equity from a cult who holds the fundamental premise that it is all for them.
They make me sick.
Alex

It applies simply as a"disbelief" in god,
Preeeecisely!
or the fact that we have no evidence for such a creature.
That is a reason for why one may not believe in God. Atheism says nothing about evidence.
a disbelief implies it doesn't exist and is a myth.
No. That’s what you add to it.
A disbelief is either an inability, and/or refusal to believe in something that is true or real.
BAZINGA!!! Now apologise, or stop making false accusations.

You never know.
How far are you away from Melbourne?

Or perhaps??..no in can't be!!!Is jan a YEC???
Has his cover been finally blown after being hidden for so long??
From Jan's link
Are you serious?
They have found a lot of dinosaur soft tissue.
It is a massive blow for darwinists.
Such material shouldn’t even last 1 million years, let alone 65 million.

I can see that you’re not prepared to change your stance, if it turns out dinosaurs didn’t die out millions of years ago.
FANATIC!!!!
While obviously she is a christian, she at least adheres to science and the scientific methodology, unlike the fanatical YEC we have trolling at this time.
What a crock of sprite!

I have read the article..tell me what do you take away from the article..I really am at a loss to know what it may mean.
It seems you have something here Jan but as you can appreciate I have only now read it...whereas you have had the opportunity to consider the matter..tell me what do we learn from this?
Alex
We just have to wait and see.
I don’t fully understand the implications of what it could mean. But as it stands, it is definitely game changer, one way or the other.

Please point out where it says or implies Darwinism and the theory of evolution is not fact.
Just because knowledge is not complete is no reason to install the usual creationist bullshit commonly known as "the spaghetti monster of the gaps"
I never said anything about that revelation meaning darwinism is not a fact. One doesn’t really need that info to argue that point.

You really need to cub your anger, and have more respect for people’s beliefs.
On the one hand you commend Mary Schweitzer for adhering to science, and the scientific method. Then on the other hand you disrespect her belief in God, calling God a spaghetti monster.
You’re a mess.

I can see that you’re not prepared to change your stance, if it turns out dinosaurs didn’t die out millions of years ago.
Jan ..they could have died out one hundred years ago, the big bang could be wrong, and germ theory bull dust...the whole of science could fall in a heap but the unfortunate fact remains the absence of all science etc does not take your god claims further.

That is what you miss.

Say evolution is wrong for example..how does that prove god?

That is your problem.
Further all of science falling in a heap does not establish ID.

Why don't you forget trying to prove science wrong and simply prove there is a god.

Alex
