A Gesture of Reconciliation

That's disgusting.

People can forgive if they want to, of course. But no one should EVER be forced to forgive at the expense of their own basic human dignity, and of justice.

I would fucking give those students a painful and humiliating death, not let them back into the fucking college.

They already were punished. They were suspended for a year.

How does expulsion ruin your life for 80 years, you ask? If their school didn't reinvite them, they would have a rather hard time getting into another one based on their reason for expulsion. That means they can't move on with their lives professionally -- a punishment which would be completely unrelated to the event at hand. It means they might never get to go back to school and follow through with their careers, which affects them forever. To a lot of people, that is a life-ruiner.

No one deserves to have their life ruined for almost a century due to this crappola. Sorry. Especially when you consider that no permanent damage to the workers resulted from this event.

Rubbish! They would have found another institution to take them. Even those who go to jail are able to go back to school with a criminal record. Speaking of which if there were criminal charges against them they may not be able to finish in time anyway. You're assessment of what would happen to their lives is a tad melodramatic

And what of the victims? They DO have to live with the even for the 'rest of their lives'. You are simply being an apologist

WillNever, you seem to have a bad need to over dramatise the poor boys' future if they'd get banned from said Uni. You're quite a histrionic version of Kennedy-boy-oh. Nonetheless, they feel like treating other people like trash, and seem to really enjoy it. Surely they'll enjoy it just as much when they're the ones being trashed, right? Poor pussy boys taking their boredom out on the people who are already being trashed by the harsh conditions their societal status brings unto them.

If those pussy boys have enough IQ and money they can get into any Uni. But yeah, that's right..all they can do is trash others..poor them. God wasn't all too kind on their poor souls. :bawl:

Can you please state what benefits and advantages a permanent expulsion would serve, from a school where the students were already temporarily barred from?

It would discourage future such incidents from those who would realise they would have to pay for it with their futures.

But that is visiting pain onto people for the sake of unrelated persons who are not part of the ordeal. That is amoral, and such a price is too high.

So basically you don't agree with any punishment for any crime? Because all crime and punishment is justice showing its face for the sake of unrelated persons.
