Anybody who has been married for more than 5 years can easily could go more than 30 days without sex.

hey wait a minute! They actually do...

ok for a start as shorty said do she and i fall into the married or unmarried catigory?

if one important componant of a relationship is sex then what makes it less important for my relationship and hers than yours?

is it suddenly the case that as soon as you have a licence from the state sex becomes important where as before it wasnt?

we arnt talking about a 6month relationship here, or having sex on the first date but a 5 year relationship.

now would you go 30 days without sex? would your husband?
i know i have a low sex drive but thats low even for ME

we have. He had sinus and knee surgery in a short time frame and then there was the time I was pregnant/recuperating from child birth. Its not like we turned into sex fiends because we weren't getting any. I would like to think there is more to our relationship than sex. Maybe that's why the challenge was issued to unmarried couples as well.

ouch knee surgury, i hope he is alright now, that is painful. my sympathies to him

that being said i already have a low enough sex drive because of the antidepressants and i wasnt going to delibratly lower it further for the sake of someone else. i especially wasnt going to piss PB off more by saying to her "i know you only get sex about twice a month anyway, but some wanker on sciforums thinks our relationship would be stronger if we just skiped this month compleatly, i know we pay $30 every three months so you can have the pill and you take it religiously every day but forget all that"

how do you think she would react?

Considering you rarely have sex anyways, I think you are already are doing the challenge. My husband and I average about 20x a month. We only had to try for those extra 10 days. And it was more difficult than I thought.
But at no time did we think we were being told what to do.

And he hasn't completely recovered from either surgery, and I appreciate you asking. :) They damaged a nerve in his knee so he is going to a pain specialist now. He has some kind of shocking/electrode thing he uses. I see another surgery in his future.
