If you read a lot, your mirror neural system will form subconscious images, which may be triggered by certain circumstances.
Ever had the feeling of *having been somwhere*, without actually having been there?

When I believed in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus not once did I imaginatively hallucinate them before me. When I believed in God and Jesus not once did they appear before me thru my mirror neurons. So why do people see ghosts, the last thing they would want to see?

Oh I have no problem in visualizing the Easter Bunny sitting in the grass, surrounded by brightly colored eggs it must have just laid. Or even Santa Claus flying through the air on his sled drawn by a bunch of reindeer. Of course that is just proof of imagination (mirror neural function), but not proof of fact.

As to imagining God or Jesus, all we need is to look at paintings and illustrations by *modern* artists who never actually laid eye on either.. Why are all *images* of Jesus different, such as havingblond hair and facial featurs. Ionce saw a picture of Jesus with a broad smile on his face, which was considered blasphemy by religious art critics. and that is because the MNN presents a subjective imaginary figure to the artist.

And many people would love to see a ghost; we have very popular TV shows of *ghost hunters*. And they always seem to come up with *something eerie (eery)* and the promise that we are soo very close to a major discovery. They even charge people to visit *haunted mansions*. The list of haunted houses is very long and those sites are very popular.

My point was nobody hallucinates these characters appearing before them, not even children who fervently believe in them. It's a major blow to your "I believe in it, therefore I see it" theory.

According to you people should be seeing God and Jesus all the time simply because they believe in them. It's the mirror neurons right? But they don't. Not unless they are mentally ill.

No they do not charge for investigating mansions. And the evidence they obtain is usually audio and video of the phenomenon as well as firsthand experiences of objects moving, footsteps, and voices in empty rooms. You should observe a few investigations yourself before dismissing them out of hand.

And I can tell you right away that people who experience hauntings in their own homes do NOT want to see ghosts. It's a very upsetting and stressful experience. Nobody wants a ghost around in their own home. To suggest such is ludicrous.

We lived in a termite infested home once, and we had plenty of unidentified noises in the walls. Once, we had a wooden shelf fall down in the attic. We did not call Gost Busters, but the Exterminator. And behold the eerie noises stopped immediately thereafter, except for the occasional creak as that old home settled on its foundations.

Using your terminology, the concept of ghosts as dissatisfied or lost spirits is ridiculous. This why these discussions always end up with, "well you have to believe in ghosts in order to see them", which I see as proof that ghosts don't exist and are products of the imagination.

No..you do not have to believe in ghosts to see them or even be thinking about them. Many people did not believe in ghosts until they encountered one. But then believing in them isn't going to make you see them either. There are so many accounts of this phenomenon it exceeds counting. And the same apparitions are seen at the same locations by different people at different times.

Yes, the power of suggestion can be very strong to some individuals. What were those people doing there in the first place? Looking for ghosts?

p.s. Are you proposing that ghosts emit or reflect photons? Think about it.

Ah yes, an actual permanent picture of a ghost, which no one had ever noticed before. Or did the ghost of that second girl settle itself into the picture. That would be an amazing feat for a photo which was chemically *fixed* to prevent additional photons from affecting the picture. Please note that little girl did not see the ghost, it was *missing* from the table. So we have an account of a missing ghost. It just gets "curiouser and curiouser"

Emitted and reflected energies (photons) can be measured by instruments. Can you show me a reliable spectrometer recording of an energetic ghost event? And I don't mean a blurred picture without any clear and defined detail. I need to see a spike, indicating an energetic event.

Here's a FLIR camera picking up the clear image of a ghost walking thru closed doors. That operates on photons too.
