Ive seen all my friends, male and female, naked dozens of times.. this year weve got together naked about 10 times or so, this is because a simple invention called
the Sauna.

Its no thing going around naked here, if you see a person more than few times (or once :O) in a situation dedicated to having fun/chilling your bound to see him/her naked at some point. This is not an erotic thing either.

Oh yeah... I gotta do that. I just need the courage to do it... :p
But why don't you say what you want to say here?

Finnish people are just too cool... :D :)

When you have an ugly body its something to be ashamed of. I think that the sub-conscious reason why we are ashamed of being naked, people will judge you and may judge you ugly and ostracize you.

I think beiing ashamed of nakedness is a stupid thing. Even some my cousins (though opposite sex) are ashamed of beiing naked in the sauna with me or other family members of the same age (other than their close-family I figure). It made me think, if people would just accept nudity the world would be nicer.

I really believe people are ashamed of being naked because "adam and eve" ate the "fruit" from the "tree of knowledge". :) But I think it's a bit symbolic...

It's very symbolic. I don't think that was the point of the story. But that's just me... ;)

1) You are afraid of the consequenses of being naked, that is, people will spread rumors, talk about you, look at you etc

2) We grew up with having clothes on, the rest of society (often) have clothes.

3) Its really cold without clothes.

Men I've dated have liked how my body looks, so I'm not ashamed or embarrassed by it, but in general, I'm kind of modest. The general shame of it for many, might have religious origins.

Shame is a good thing. It makes me eat well and workout hard...really hard. :D

lol I take care of my body as well, but there are people who take care of their bodies and still have shame. I think there's a general idea of shame over being naked, for many people.

Any shame is from our culture. That's neither good nor bad. It's just our culture. Why is it "good" to have kids, get married, work hard? It's not in absolute terms. It may help accomplish certain things that our society values but it doesn't have to be that way.

Surely the "shame" associated with nudity is strongly correlated with the advertisement of one's sexual organs to the pleasure of complete strangers, some of whom may not be entirely respectful of one's desire not to share it more intimately.

If I don't want all manner of strangers to read my private diary full of my innermost thoughts, where I am most vulnerable, it would behoove me to not stage a book-reading of my diary in the middle of a crowded street on the bad side of town, yes?

I've never ''advertised'' my sexual organs to complete strangers, so I wouldn't know.

Some studies have shown that "available" women show more skin in public when they're ovulating.

A woman asked me for a dick pic once so I sent her a pic of Dick Cheney.

Why are you both saying these rude, gross comments to me?

It's okay, Ivan. The ovulation comment was just unexpected. lol

I don't do online dating, I tend to meet guys in social situations, offline. Online dating seems fake to me. Like people are fake...fake pics, fake or exaggerated profiles. I've heard this from friends who use these sites.
