What's on your iPod?

One of my favorite songs, another by Alison Krauss, 'Steel Rails'. I remember taking the train across Canada from coast to coast as a child, the family returning from a 3 year military assignment in Germany. It was one of the more memorable adventures of my life to that date.

That's cool. I recently...finally listened to Gordon Lightfoot's Canadian Railroad Trilogy song(what a boring name!)

GREAT TUNE!

Christopher Tin - Baba Yetu HD

"Baba Yetu" is a song by composer Christopher Tin.[1]

While 'Baba Yetu' is the opening track on Tin's debut album, "Calling All Dawns", the song was originally created to serve as the theme song for the video game Civilization IV. Tin was asked to score the intro by his old Stanford roommate, Soren Johnson.

In 2007, "Baba Yetu" was released for the Alfred Pop Choral Series for SATB divisi voices. In 2011 it was rearranged by Tin for an eight-part a capella choir with percussion accompaniment. [2]

"Baba Yetu" is the only piece of videogame soundtrack ever to be nominated for or win a Grammy award.

"Promises" by the Cranberries. I had never heard it. My bandleader's wife, who until now only sang backup, told us that she loves that song and wanted to sing lead on it. Turns out she has a killer voice that she'd been hiding, perfect for this song. It's loud and aggressive, a great crowd-pleaser.

I really enjoy the rhythmic flow of energy and the sentiments expressed in this song.

Fabolous - My Time

I was playing QB yesterday, only completed a handful of passes, intercepted three times, almost returned for touchdowns. I never played QB before but I played hard and never quit, scrambled to save the plays I broke. I'm no Peyton Manning, but I played like Tim Tebow.

I too enjoy that song but do you know who the empty rocking chair was symbolic for?

Answer:
Roy Orbison who died in 1988

The empty chair, symbolic of loss.....

......the glimpse of a face in a picture frame.....

......the guitar belonging to one who was of the original lineup of the group.....

Roy Orbison

(I see that your answer reveals itself more readily against a colored background.)
