What does God control or not control?

God controls everything and nothing all at the same time.

God knows every action and event that has and will ever occur, yet gives us the free will to act and confirm his knowledge.

God doesn't do paradoxes.
 
I am but an atom
In the leg of God's chair.
Yet, I am part of the whole.
Praise God for countenancing my unworthiness !

I am a wretched sinner
As God foresaw, yet
In his infinite bounty he gave me
Permission to sin according to his will.

I am a wretch.
I humble myself before the throne.
It avails me nothing.
God made me for the Lake of Fire
