US soldier kills puppy, the whole world gets upset

If it was a Iraqi baby being thrown off of a cliff, people would be MUCH MUCH MUCH more upset, than they would be over this puppy. The reaction this video got probably has more to do with the fact that it is something you can watch with your own eyes and that a soldier deliberately threw a living thing off the side of a cliff. And not just any living thing, but an animal that has a very high status among many cultures as far as animals go.

Anyone still believe the video was fake?

As sad as it was, I can't say that I expected a severe punishment. If it had not been taped and put on the internet, I'm sure there would have been none at all.

If he was kicked out then it is a deserving punishment as he disgraced his uniform, country and acted sadisticaly...you will probably find him with a barrett 50cal popping of pedestrians from a church tower in a few years.

he got kicked out of the marines for......killing a puppy.......so much for all the money it cost training him......i am not saying what he did was right...it wasnt.....but that's a harsh punishment!!

Let's say another Marine overreacted and killed 3 Iraqis. I bet he would not be kicked out, and that was the point of the thread....

you can't compare a life of a dog to a life of a person, he should not have been kicked out of the marines,

no but when poison of the war leaks out for public to scent, then their decisions are influenced by people who sponsor their war (willingly or unwillingly).

so a good marine was kicied out of the marines, because of people pressure?

what about the US soldier that killed those 4 british soldiers, why wasn't he kicked out?

Could you be a bit more specific?

Um, which soldier and which soldiers? Americans have whacked more than a few of our allies in the Bush Wars.

The bottom line, though, is whether it is a wartime snafu or a completely extraneous act of savagery.
