You keep hinting at some sort of hierarchy of intelligence, but when I ask you to describe it, you refuse. Why is this?Intelligence in the context of this forum is essentially the ability to think and reason and to reach and exceed the status of "I think therefore I am", i.e. the realization of self-awareness.
Furthermore, you mix levels of abstraction here. Self-awareness is the state of being aware of one's own existence, which is not necessitated by reaching that logical conclusion through conscious thought. You could argue that we constantly reach this conclusion subconsciously, ergo relatively effortless self-awareness, but you would have to prove this if you did.
So then, would you say you place yourself in the camp that equates intelligence with IQ?The other primary factor that distinguishes lower forms of life in terms intelligence is the correlation with brain complexity in terms of both size and the number of folds, and that translates essentially to processing power.
