The Trump Presidency

So now the 45th USA presidency starts with Trump and his wife dancing to the words "And now the end is near" ~My Way Frank Sinatra.
Sure has a weird sense of humor I must say....

P-s-s-s-s-t . . . . Isn't this what everyone is afraid our new President Trump is going to do?

Link: http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/comp...e-property-sales-to-him/ar-AAm1TvX?li=BBnb7Kz

and, Wasn't Zuckerburg a big Obama/Hillary fan?

Actually no. A quiet deed is very different from imminent domain which is what Trump has used.

A quiet deed doesn't force anyone to sell anything. A quiet deed is used to clear up ambiguous ownership and create a clean title. There is no moral wrong in that. There is no forced sale.

What Trump has done is use government to force land owners to sell their land to the government which in turn sells the land to Trump.

You can't see the difference? Sorry, but not that sorry, to pop your bubble again. ☺

Evidently you did NOT READ the article, but chose to express your so-called legal expertise (NOT!) instead! Regardless of what 'quiet' title legally means, the factual context of the article infers that Zuckerburg is trying to legally acquire the others' properties thru judicial intervention! If you are a lawyer, IMO, you are NOT a very good one!

LOL...

Evidently I did read the article, but unlike you, I know what a quite deed action is...oops. :)

"An action to quiet title is a lawsuit brought in a court having jurisdiction over property disputes, in order to establish a party's title to real property, or personal property having a title, of against anyone and everyone, and thus "quiet" any challenges or claims to the title.

This legal action is "brought to remove a cloud on the title" so that plaintiff and those in privity with him may forever be free of claims against the property.[1] The action to quiet title resembles other forms of "preventive adjudication," such as the declaratory judgment.[2]

This genre of lawsuit is also sometimes called either a try title, trespass to try title, or ejectment action "to recover possession of land wrongfully occupied by a defendant."[3] However, there are slight differences. In an ejectment action, it is typically done to remove a tenant or lessee in an eviction action, or an eviction after a foreclosure.[citation needed] Nonetheless, in some states, all terms are used synonymously." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quiet_title

Zuckerburg maybe trying to acquire these properties. But that doesn't change the fact that he isn't forcing a sale. He isn't doing what Trump has done. In order to buy these properties, Zuckerburg must first establish who owns the property, and at the moment, it isn't clear who owns those properties. A quite deed action clears that up as previously explained to you.

Contrary to your assertion, that's not at all similar to what Trump has done. Trump has used imminent domain to acquire properties. A quite deed action isn't in anyway similar to using imminent domain as you have asserted. A quite deed cannot force the landowners to sell as an imminent domain action can. It just makes land owners prove their ownership or interest in the land.

Trump has used his money to get local governments use their imminent domain powers to force land owners to sell their property to the government. The government then sells the land to Trump. That's not at all similar to what Zuckerburg is doing. Zuckerburg is actually doing these landowners a favor. He's forcing them to prove title to their land, and that's something they would need to do if they were ever to sell the land.

Unfortunately for you and your right wing cohorts, fact and reason still matter. I'm not a lawyer, but I do have a degree in business and finance and the study of commercial law was required. Unlike you, I have studied commercial law, and unlike you, I have had a long career in business. Unlike you, I know what I'm talking about.

Typically the only way Trump support is justified is by tearing someone else down....
That's a good point that hasn't been well discussed. Going forward Trump doesn't have an enemy to blame and he desperately needs one. But I'm sure he will make up enemies as needed. Trump has no qualms about lying and dishonesty. Trump's a master at making shit up.

Trump and his associates are entering government while under criminal investigation. The moment Trump is sworn in he will be in voilation of the Emoluments Clause of our Constitution.

The guy has lots of problems. His administration will be bumpy at best.

Combine that with the fact that a President is most powerful and has most control in foreign policy, not domestic, and we see why fascism always ends up rolling the military into combat.

The US has expanded its armed force presence in foreign countries over the entire Reagan era, most dramatically under Reagan's heir W but including Obama's various deployments, and Trump has (besides Mexico of course) more than a hundred serious theater possibilities for claimed or real grievance motivating military assault.

Why do Trump supporters pronounce so much yet know so little? Why are ignorance and inexperience so highly valued in your world?

After reviewing all the news and commentary that is floating about, looking at the stats, and international reactions there seems only one outcome to Trumps attitude and policies towards China and the South China Sea issue.
It is the Trump supporter whom I hold accountable for the inevitable conflagration that is only one stray bullet away from starting.
It is all very well for Trump supporters to sing the praises of what they consider to be an overwhelming military advantage but they fail to understand what a couple of million or so USA corpses looks like let alone many millions of Chinese.

The mood among young people on the streets of Beijing says it all... if the USA does not maintain constructive dialogue with the Chinese people then they will stand and fight in a way that will make Middle East seem like a tea party.

It is so sad to realize that this appears inevitable and the only real beneficiary of all this will be Russia if one considers the associated long term global trade melt down being in any way beneficial. ( not to mention that all the unknowables that may impact severely on Russia)

People here often say that Chinese military is insignificant when compared to the USA and true at the moment this maybe the case, but what they fail to understand is that when provoked into action the Chinese have the capacity and ability to turn that table very quickly simply due to their own brand of patriotism, ingenuity and an active and ready to fight population in excess of 5 times that of the USA

The USA has been predicted by a number of erudite think tanks to win the initial battle but not the war... because to win it the USA would have to obliterate 1.2+ billion Chinese.

As I type this warships shadowing warships, aircraft coming within meters of colliding.. etc in the South Chine sea. The future looks to be predetermined and unavoidable...

Am I over reacting and overly pessimistic?

I wish I was....

War with China appears inevitable with Trump in the Whitehouse.

I might add that If the Intelligence community actually had incriminating evidence of blackmail etc they would have released their findings already. They haven't so one can only conclude that they do not have any credible evidence.

Not necessarily. That's nothing to depend on - removing an elected President is like uprooting a tree, all kinds of interlocking agendas play in. Plus, if they know about bad stuff that gives them a handle on him too, that maybe they don't have on Pence, or can't control separately (they both go down, Paul Ryan's your new President).

Why do Trump supporters pronounce so much yet know so little? Why are ignorance and inexperience so highly valued in your world?

The reason is, what was considered knowledge and experience was not working for half the people. Trump is for an economy that benefits all. He is about growth and not redistribution. The people who support Trump are not the Ivory League intellectuals, who are sheltered from the real world. Trump supporters are the blue collar people, who build things in the free market and are therefore are intimately connected to the pros and cons of hard reality. A professor will create an imaginary scenario to help their students learn. A civil engineering professor may not add the kickback and cronyism to his scenario that is part of the real world. These imaginary scenarios are useful, at the university level, and appeal to students. Students get to live out their ideal fantasies, while be buffered from the dirt.

If all the blue collar workers went on strike, our entire cultural logistics would come to a halt. Picture if there are no plumbers, electricians, carpenters, landscapers, janitors, factory workers, police, etc., This shows how critical to hard reality these people are. If all the professors and teachers went on strike, students would be impacted, but not everyone. The students would need to get a job or home school via the internet. Trump appeals to the realists adults, who do not have the luxury of the fantasy world of academia. Many work hard so their children can live the fantasy.

When Trump first started to run for office, my impression was his personality was very abrasive and he could rub people the wrong way. But I also saw how protective and caring he was of his friends and supporters. In my practical mind, although Trump was superficially rude and self centered, Trump also has a track record as a billionaire in business and construction. He has tangible talents and skills that the country could use. He was not a theoretician but a doer. I felt more concerned with results in the real world, and less with rules of pretense and charm at a cocktail party. Pretense and charm appeals more to the Democrats, with results coming second. President Obama was well like due to his charm, but his practical skills were not in proportion, which is why a lower percentage voted for his continued policies; practical skills.

Blue collar workers, often live in a world of rude and crude; job site manners and neighborhood bar. Trump's personality did not bother them, since he is part of their world, since Trump formed his personality on the blue collar worker. Trump was not originally accepted in the snob world of NYC. That is controlled by old money Democrats. He felt more comfortable among his workers. They lived in a world where skill and ability is how you are judged, not pretense. He was not allowed in the world of NYC pretense to learn the bad habits, that might appeal to the Democrats.

There is an historical parallel. During the Civil War in the US, most of the Generals and top staff were pushing Prudent Lincoln to fire General Grant. Grant was rude, crude, like to drink on the job and was a womanizer. The rest of the Generals had bought their rank; donors class, and felt being a general was all about protocol. Lincoln who was flustered and said, If booze would make the rest of you half a competent as Grant, I will buy the booze. Had Lincoln been a modern Democrat, he would have chosen the snobs and the country would have been divided into two, due to pretentious incompetence allowed to lead. Trump supporters would supported Grant, since, although a degenerate at the cocktail party, once on the job, he had a track record of winning. Those on the right think deeper than the surface appeal.

Yes it is pretty obvious that his supporters depend on Trump to fulfill what he promises them...so uhm what are you going to do when he inevitably doesn't?
Have you stopped buying Chinese imported products yet?
Have you bought Made in the USA products deliberately yet?
Is your TV set made in the USA or is it made elsewhere?
It all starts with you, you know... you want it so bad then buy American only.
I bet you wont and I bet you can't

Trump is going to move fast, after he is sworn in. Get ready for the roller coaster ride. Currently, the word is, there are over 200 executive orders that will by signed into law by the Monday, after the inauguration. One executive order, that will be signed today, is all political appointees need to resign. The two week notices were already given out, so they are ready to replace. The Democrats should not have shown their nasty cards, so early. They should have pretended to be good sports, so Trojan horse appointees would have bene left in place. Now, since the Democrats have demonstrated their lock step disruption,, all the Trojan horses need to be purged. This is smart business. Why make it easier for those who wish to hurt you.

Things are going to move very fast. The result is there will not be enough leftist media and organized Democratic party confusion, to contain everything, at the same time. It will be like a boat with a hundred leaks, were all the leaks need to be addressed, but there is only enough manpower to address the worse, first, while taking in water, elsewhere. Nobody expected Trump, the moron, to be so smart in political warfare.

The Democrats have underestimated the power of practical skills and a very intelligent cabinet and staff, who can run a multi front war on a broke system. When the Democrats try to slow changes at the EPA, Obamacare will targeted. If you go there to reinforce the troops, illegal immigration is will be the new point of attack. Government workers and government leaders are used to the pretentious snail pace, where nothing gets done very quickly or the can is kicked down the road. They will not know how to deal with change. This is more private sector. It will be fun to watch.

Nothing has happened yet, since Trump is not yet president. If he tried anything tangible before inauguration, Obama and the Democrats would throw sand in the gears, like he did with sanctions on Russia. Obama could have done the sanctions, 1 year ago, since this is how long they knew of the hacks. Obama did not wish to make problems for Hilary. He did this now, so Trump will inherits problems so his approach is made more difficult.

Trump will not show his cards until the correct time. The Democrats are trying to disrupt and undermine, A smart leader will not make it easy for the enemy by talking strategy, when he is not yet in power. Later today, D-day or rather T-day begins.

Later today, D-day begins, where America is liberated. Once the allies get a toe hold, it is a matter of time before V-day.

Actually... he has stated he intends to take a vacation after the swearing in ceremony that will last until Monday...
http://www.politicususa.com/2017/01/19/trump-hide-protesters-vacation-oath-office.html

Trump told The Times of London that he would not be showing up for work after being sworn in, “One of the first orders I’m gonna sign – day one – which I will consider to be Monday as opposed to Friday or Saturday. Right? I mean my day one is gonna be Monday because I don’t want to be signing and get it mixed up with lots of celebration, but one of the first orders we’re gonna be signing is gonna be strong borders.”

Not even a day on the job, and your president needs a vacation... how fucking pathetic can you get.

A little parable:

There was a poor farmer who decided to take some produce to market. He loaded up his donkey, and began the long walk to the market town.
As he was walking he met a liberal who berated him for forcing the poor donkey to carry all of his goods. So he unloaded 1/2 of the produce, and continued on his journey carrying 1/2 while his donkey carried the other 1/2. Soon, he met a conservative who berated him for being stupid enough to carry such a heavy load while his donkey trotted merrily at his side. So, he stopped and transferred his load back onto the donkey's back, and continued on his journey. A little while later, he met another liberal who screamed at him for over burdening his poor beast. So, he took the load off the donkey and trudged along on his journey, with his unburdened donkey strolling along beside him. As he was stumbling along he came to a bridge over a deep canyon. In the middle of the bridge, he happened to meet another conservative who laughed at him for being so stupid as to carry such a heavy load instead of using his perfectly good donkey to do that. He then started to once again transfer his load onto the donkey. By now, the poor donkey was so confused that he panicked and in his panic, braying and bucking, he accidentally lept over the guardrail and fell to his death in the canyon below.
The moral of this little parable is:
You can't please everybody, and if you try, you could lose your ass in the bargain.

So, be the best you that you can be, and let Trump be Trump.

You can't please everyone, but that's not an excuse to give your executioner the gun or to otherwise act irrationally.
