This is not a clash of ideas. You are merely drawing science-oriented folks into your little game, so you can insult them. Your main idea is throw out all the knowledge the world has collected about the Sun, so you can vent your unexplained anger against 'Science' (whoever/whatever that means to you. Evidently you had a bad time in school).

The point of this thread achieves what it supposed to do. Make people think!

This could be a way to estimate how much fuel in terms of power measurement the sun could have been emitting all these years so far:
1. They have already a value of the energy received by earth on a single day. ( no link bec. I have read it but dont know where)

Before you make any more claims about this, you should study the data available from sites like NOAA.

2. Factor in the total sphere around the radius of earth's revolution around the sun. a) get the circumference of earth's revolution b) translate that into a 3D sphere of same radius

Or just figure out what it is you are trying to say and reconcile it with the actual science.

3. Factor in the time estimate it has been going on so far. The minimum may be, since the time plants appeared on earth - for sure the 65million years or so figure since dynasaurs roam the land (because many of these animals ate plants)

The word is 'dinosaur', and they appeared only after the Sun had been burning for billions of years. But this has nothing to do with finding out how much solar energy the sun in radiating.

If you want to estimate the total power emitted by the sun, you can just take data from people who are measuring it, then convert to the amount of power that can be inferred from the aperture of the sensor, and scale it to the surface area of the Sun. Of course you would have to rely on scientists to get an estimate of the surface area of the Sun - unless you care to propose a way to measure it yourself.

This same procedure may be tried if a cold fusion becomes a reality, using instead cold fusion as the parameter.

When you move beyond highschool into college you do not just accept something out of a physics book - you are required to run experiments and write up lab reports that prove the priciples.

Message of The Plasma Being: An Allegory

So I fell asleep wondering how Tesla would answer my probing questions.

In the darkness of the night, I was remembering the image of the sun as seen on videos provided by NASA.

Lo and behold a being of light showed in my dreams and gave a message.

I would admit that I had forgotten the finer details of his/her message after waking up. So this came through the filter of my forgetfulness:

"Don't despair about them. I am a Plasma Being and I come to bring you tidings of good cheer. Tesla is very proud of your imaginative inquisitiveness. Retain your childlike wonderment of the universe and we support your audit of the beliefs indoctrinated in you.

Explore, inquire of higher truths. And never be afraid to escape the confines of your cultural and educational programming.

As for the sun, explore what was left or allowed to seep through about Tesla's works and such other greats. If Tesla would speak for NASA he would be the first to acknowledge that we don't know about a lot. He would object to the 'Show and Awe'".


In amazement, I got up, composed myself for a while and decided to open this thread on pseudo-science. Reflecting on the said message, I watched again the video double posted by Aqueous Id.

Then it hit me, at around 2:40 it shows that the NASA video seamlessly integrated a CGI view inside the sun!

And then I thought to myself; "Is it part of the 'Show and Awe' function of NASA? Is NASA doing this in many of their releases?" And then I realize they have! They mix and match videos and pictures with real and made-up for their press releases.

So then I wade a little bit about what are the known discoveries of Tesla. I started to watch the cool Tesla coil and waded through many of suggested videos by the site.

And then it hit me again: What if the sun is a spinning ball emitting light and frequencies that combine some characteristics of plasma ball, Van de Graaf ball and Tesla coils?

Everything that looks hot is not always hot, corona discharge can be duplicated easily and wireless transmission of light as well. And such devices may need no nuclear detonation at all!

Thanks for acknowledging that space is cold and close to zero on the Kelvin scale.

But please qualify if the space you are mentioning is only for those portions under the shadow of space objects or not. Otherwise, some 'scientists' here would claim space facing the sun is hot. And most probably all others would readily agree except my inquisitive mind.

I haven't observed nor read any mention of hot temperature in the above video. If ever, the skydiver is enjoying a cold weather with the sun shining! Neither the handles outside the module seem hot nor is there any experience of high temp inside the glass window of the module (as in the case of the car window when the sun shines through it).

See the start of the video below and observe the spacewalking astronauts. They were comfortable and unafraid working despite of the sun's rays. I can find no indication they are working with smoldering hot surface of the space station.

Of course, they have temperature control of their body. But did you see any indication of them handling hot surfaces? Is this body cooling suit extends to all parts of the body, the hands and the glass visors which can intensify heat? Were they really programmed to have complete trust in their suit that they risk spacewalking in front of your alleged beyond boiling point temperature? They even have no unconscious fear reactions, they must be robotic.
