Pirates!

Would that be a cool occupation or what? Sailing the seas and raiding ships and coastal towns,

Pretty cool but you will always be ""Second billing". After all, Mark Watney already pirated all the way out to Mars...tough to top that one!

which reminds me of a busines meeting i was in.
it was a leading top achiever team
the manager leading the presentation asked a question and a women replied "anal"(a real Freudian slip/brain fark) out loud which had no relation to the question at all.
it took us nearly 5 minutes to stop laughing and carry on.

Was that a comment on the manager? Because I've seen a lot of managers and I've got to admit, in 70-75% of cases, I'd have to agree with that woman's assessment.
LoL
This particular Manager is female and one of the best i have ever encountered.
prized by a global corporate as a trail blazer and real money maker & amazing team builder.
I learnt a great deal from her, as much as i could, i picked her brain at almost any opportunity.
She is smart enough to get that and so in kind treated my like an apprentice of sorts as much as she could without showing excess favor from the rest of the team.
She said to me one day, you cant monopolise my time for 2 reasons.
1 your not the best in the top 5% but i was in the top 10%
me sitting on an average of 200% sales goals with a few others and 25% sitting on 350 with some on 700%. crème de la crème of a global corporate
She said my time is money, and i need to be able to show that toward sales & justify that in my time proportion even though i might be able to learn more than some on lower sales.
2 it was not fair on the other team members who might feel put out.

straight to the point no bullshit.
she knew i wanted to learn and was happy to teach as much as she could.

Another rainy day...the kind of day you don't want to be working, and just watch Hulu or take a nap. ;)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulu#Content_partners
In early March 2010, Viacom announced that it was pulling two of the website's most popular shows, The Colbert Report and The Daily Show, off Hulu.[91] The programs had been airing on Hulu since late 2008.[92] A spokesman for Viacom noted that "in the current economic model, there is not that much in it for us to continue at this time. If they can get to the point where the monetization model is better, then we may go back.

On July 12, 2014, it was announced that Hulu had signed a three-year deal purchasing exclusive online streaming rights to the South Park library. Through the deal, the South Park Studios website became powered by Hulu video and featured advertising.

so the truth is no companys would dare advertising during the Colbert Report & The Daily Show
wow ! that is an amazing reality to think how un free the consumer market must be politically.(or ?)

being able to poke fun and critique political leadership is a backbone of a free liberal democracy.
yet... no companys would advertise with such a huge audience ? ... crazy !
the sentence "Democracy & freedom hating cowards" seems to come to mind

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transference
Transference (German: Übertragung) is a theoretical phenomenon characterized by unconscious redirection (projection) of the feelings a person has about their parents, as one example, on to the therapist. It usually concerns feelings from a primary relationship during childhood. At times, this projection can be considered inappropriate.[1][2][3] Transference was first described by Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, who considered it an important part of psychoanalytic treatment.

Spaceships travelling to distant planets will need civilians to reproduce, because even at light-speed, it will take generations' worth to get there.

i need to stop diving in and splashing around in the moral sewers of other peoples personalities.

After you use the toilet, you touch the tap, wash your hands, then touch the tap again.

How unhygienic. The water should be running the whole time. :)
