Zuytdorp, Batavia, Dutch Ships wrecked on the Wild west coast.

Apparently the first landing by the Dutch was Wittecarra creek, Kalbarri Western Australia.

A magnificent spot. Raw, wild, hot. 3,000 Km of desert to the east, Indian ocean to the west.
 
There are several other claims in progress ( including the original inhabitants.)

I have that with my alarm clock. Sometimes it takes me a full minute (or so, of course) to realize it's going off.
In that state I know that there is something amiss, but I don't even realize that something is making noise lol
 
Ok. I will preface this with a disclaimer: yes, I am a redneck. I am probably the only person you know who can skin a deer while drunk, and tell you why compactification of the heterotic string on a six torus gives you N=4 supersymmetry :) And yes, that is a big ass shark's tooth hanging around my neck.

im not a redneck, but i could probably skin a deer, cook a stew, bury the remains and then come back for them :p
