The Picture Thread Mark V

That fireplace is double sided.....so you see the fire if you are in the livingroom or the family room. That is why I decorate one side for me and one for the kids...

Ah ok, I see :)
Very nice living room by the way :)

You f-ing tree hugger, you! J/k

great decorations, Shorty. I'll try to post some pics of mom's house when she finishes decorating.

No.. lol
I always get the tree less than one week in advance..
The decorations go up then too. They are minimal though :)

Oh yes! you are one of those who gets a real tree ;)
I like my fake one, not so much mess. But the real ones
smell so nice!

Yep, we always get a real one :)
Once (lol), when I was like 15, I picked up a saw and got to the forest on my bicycle. Picked a tree, cut it down and took it home with me :p
It was rather large and I carried it with me while cycling, you should have seen the looks one some people's faces LOL
I was lucky the police didn't see me though..

LOL.....what did you parents say? I think in Canada there would be a hefty fine for that.

They thought it was weird but let me keep it anyway lol
I think there is a hefty fine for that here too ;)

Ina city near here people leave their porch lights on. Its amazing how many trimmed ornamental trees disappear from front yards.

In Latvia every person has a right to take down one fir tree for his household in state forests for Christmas each year.
They have some size limits I don't know though, but I think the trunk had to be less than 15cm in diameter.

Oh! That's pretty neat, so you guys get to pick your tree straight from the forest ?

Well yes, or buy. Every year before christmas there are lots of people selling fir trees on the streets.

They do that here as well. Still, at the time I though it was pretty neat that I went and picked out my own tree from the forest. Even cut it down myself :)

:scratchin:
Come to think of it, I still think it's pretty neat.. :D

The new house of my workplace. Didn't post any interior pics because the interesting places are off limits to photography, others are simply not finished or furnished yet.

We have a nifty entrance security. It's basically two big bulletproof glass jars next to each other, each jar has a door on both sides. You flash a security card and one door opens, then you step into the jar and the door closes behind you. If a metal object is detected on you, then the second door doesn't open and you can't get into the building past that point. A computer voice gives general info.
Of course there's also an xray scan for bags.
