The Picture Thread Mark III

As long as we are taking birds (photographing them, not eating them  ), here are some Black Swans. These birds are native to all parts of Australia although they are more common in the south. It is the state emblem of Western Australia. The cygnets are born with a light coloured down that darkens when they are juveniles.

Pictures from a trip last year with people from work, studying older adults in South Africa. These were all taken on the coast of the Indian Ocean near Durban;

I'm the tan one in the navy blue top. These children were teaching us to dance.

In the pink tank top. (it was so humid!)

In the white tank this time. The air smelled so good.

Unfortunately, we didn't have all that much time to relax. I was there on business, despite what the pictures show. I would love to go back for vacation and spend a lot of time there, it was beautiful and the people were very friendly.

They have a lower rate of Alzheimers in that region, and we were there to survey their lives to find out why and to share our knowledge on how to treat patients with Alzheimers and Dementia.

Any coclusions about why Alzheimer's is less prevalent there? My great grandmother just died a few months ago at the age of 96, and she'd had Alzheimer's for many years.

P.S. Is that picture in the middle of your first post South Africa? I don't picture South Africa having forests for some reason.

aww baby swans :)

that's a nice picture c7ityi, it's difficult to take pictures of the sun without having it blur everything

Only about 1% of South Africa's land is forest, but they are there. Mostly along the Indian Ocean, and some of the flowers were amazing. I'll see if I can get my friend to send some of those as well so I can post them.

As for Alzheimers, the research is unclear. We gathered what we could, but my part of it is more how to treat it than how to prevent it. That's up to the scientists.

Wow, Kotoko, you are quite attractive for a woman who has had.. how many kids?

Nice pictures of SAfrica too.

I've only had two children and I am stopping there. I personally think it's socially negligent to have more than would replace you and your partner as silly as that might sound. We have a global overpopulation problem, and we all have to take responsibility for it. And it's not the first time I've posted my picture, albeit under a different monniker. I'm only 32, and I work out. I don't drink/smoke and I take care of myself. No reason that I shouldn't look good. I've been told my thighs are "thick", but I can leg press 580 pounds with my legs alone, so they are pretty muscular.

Thank you for the compliment.

yawwnnnn....I wonder what is the percentage of all these..."thats me in the pink top" and "oh thats me agains..."...is actually true...and if does happen that the percentage of pics posted here actually depict the members of this forum...then why do they not care for their security?...what if now...I have a knife dirty with blood from one of the members? for example Happeh?...huh?...did you accomplish everything in life to give away the security you once had and the security of your family?

aah how sweet, the poor little dragon is projecting his fears on to others.

................ random dots, set as you please.
