those are very nice pictures
your forests are very different from the ones we have here
ours are very thick, there is no open space between the trees that isnt covered with small bushes and plants hanging from one tree to another... it's very difficult to walk
I'll to the woods near my house to take pictures when i can be bothered to
this i took today, i have high resolution versions of then, if anyone wants to loot at all the little details
this is the view from my balcony, i am very thankful for the beautiful garden but i also feel like i deserve it as i helped to plant it and i maintain it
I would like to see them, Varda. I find the pictures of the local insects fascinating. Brazil is definitely awash in wildlife, isn't it?
I don't suppose you could provide names and details of them as you post, could you? That last spider for instance, the view from underneath is really quite striking. It almost looks like a skull face or something.
What about mammals? I suppose they're a bit harder to capture on film than insects?
As to the view of your back yard... What do you think of houseguests?
You look like someone I used to know. You play in a band? Ever live in Austin, TX? I know you said you are living in Cyprus now, but in the past maybe?
This is Phoebe and Felix, doing it turtle style...
They are at least 15 years old and possibly over 30. Testudo Kleinmani, very rare Egyptian tortoises. I breed them as a hobby and have about 30 of them, all born in captivity except for that crazy pair up there.
The female is 6" long; the male 5". His penis grows to about 3" long and an inch wide at the tip when he is doing it (talk about king dong). As he does so, he screams like a little dinosaur. When they finish, she walks away and drags him along behind her until he deflates.
Here is your's truly observing the city and trying to look good on camera
Here I'm in the old city, noticed a cat by trash cans. It was looking for some food with his claws in plastic bags there, but didn't find anything edible.
Here's the culprit up closer. I met him a bit later walking on the street
