Your petty and aggressive nature can be readily determined from your forum signature and your avatar, Bells... both of which essentially tell us that you're yet another unpleasant individual -- one who relishes any and all opportunities to bicker, fight and argue with strangers. That is very common on forum boards, but if you really thought about it for a moment, then you would realize that desperately rushing headlong into confrontations with people at every turn, as you do, provides far more revelations about the person doing the attacking than it does about those whom they attack.

Nay, it means that in the likeliest case, you did the wrong thing. Good forum moderators are typically well-respected by all on any given board. You on the other hand, have some definite detractors. That doesn't bode so well.

I am not here to be "liked". In that I don't see this forum like High School where one just has to be "liked" or popular. If you have a desire to be popular and "liked", then knock yourself out. Go forth and "LOL" it up with the best of them. But that is not me. I take part in discussions and that is it. I moderate when necessary and that is it. If I wanted to be "liked", I would not be a moderator but would instead post solely in Free Thoughts about how cute my arse looked in low cut jeans. Contrary to what you may believe, some of us don't live to be popular.

Norse was banned almost on the spot, actually. It were ~2 hours after his statement. He was banned probably before he could see anyone "request he provided proof." Nobody expects or deserves so rapid a banning before actually taking the time to see what is up. Everything that has happened since then, including this thread and this second banning that you are small-mindedly doing, seems to have been precipitated by that initial action taken against him.

James R could have simply said "Norse, I respect your right to hold an opposing view but can you please provide reasoning for why you think hold that view?" That would be have been sufficiently respectful and appropriate as a moderator response. He did not do that, however... and that is pretty bad.

EDIT: I am talking about Norse's FIRST ban. Everything that has happened since then took place because of the initial and aggressive action taken against norse. His frustration and anger should have been understandable to you.

He did not ask for an extension. Quite the contrary. In the end he advised he would not be providing any proof whatsoever. If you look at the times, he was posting in this thread over several hours after the request was made and his posts were about my request to him.

They usually want to get along with people, because they want everyone else to get along too. They are people who seek harmony, not confrontation. That doesn't seem to describe you, so you should probably convert yourself back to a normal member.

Because being a moderator on a faceless forum was the pinnacle of my goals in life. I mean I'll forget everything else that I have achieved, including my education, family, job and everything else in my life. Because as a moderator, I have obtained powers and status that even my job simply can never give. My life is now complete.
