Please do not cut and paste these kinds of videos without a point or discussion and appropriate supporting material and preliminary analysis.
True accounts of Springheel Jack, the infamous strange entity that haunted the streets of England in the 1800's.

Out of curiosity, in what manner are you asserting these to be “true accounts”?
Are you simply claiming that the accounts herein are truly accounts that were actually made at the time, or are you asserting that the accounts themselves, as told, are true?

I'm asserting that imo they are both accounts that were made at the time and that they are are true. People wouldn't make this stuff up.

That's extremely naive. People "wouldn't" make up Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde? Dracula? Frankenstein's monster?

Jack the Ripper was a real person, though much of what we "know" of him is legend. Similarly, Spring-heeled Jack may have been a real person whose exploits were exaggerated, embellished and/or downright made up.

So, to clarify: MR is not actually asserting that they are true; he is offering his belief that they are true, based on his belief that people don't make stuff up.

Springheel Jack is a character in the fictional Murdoch Mysteries series.

But they did make up the characters in the novels. And there are also plenty of made-up encounters with Jack the Ripper and other real people. Clearly people would and do make up encounters with fictional characters.

Not characters of fictional novels like you claimed. Noone's ever claimed to see Frankenstein or Dracula.

Why don't you believe in the divinity of Our Lord, Jesus Christ? There are accounts of Jesus and his miracles and his resurrection in the bible. By your reasoning, people wouldn't just make that stuff up, either.

Explain the process you go through to decide that ghost stories are true while Jesus is made up.
 
Also, Magical Realist, I notice that you did not include any analysis or point of discussion with your cut-and-posted youtube video. Indeed, there was not even any indication of the content of the video.

As you know, you are required to provide such material when cutting and pasting this kind of thing from youtube. You are therefore officially warned (again).

Actually, all he needs to say is that your claim that "people wouldn't make this stuff up" is demonstrably false because people do make stuff up all the time.

So, as it stands, the claim holds no water - simply because it's far too broad.

You need to revise your statement to include what you think makes "this stuff" somehow different than so many other legends that are generally accepted to be made up.

Nobody's proven that they "made this stuff up", as in reported encounters with Springheel Jack.

I'm saying that there may be some truth to the stories but they have likely been embellished. You keep ignoring the example I gave of Jack the Ripper, where we know that happened.
