i would suggest alot. As i said codanblad for a long time the statis quo would have been the father out lived the mother because she would probably have died in childbirth and he would have been left to care for whatever children were left (wether the child she was giving birth to survived or not they would probably have had older children as well)
Even now there are cases like this, look at the women who stopped her cancer treatment (knowing it would probably be fatal) until after she gave birth so that the child wasnt harmed. She knew she was terminal anyway (i think it was something like a 5% chance of survival behond 5 years) so she made the choice to give her child a chance. The father will now raise that child and im sure he will do a dam fine job of it
