How about we think of it this way:

You have greater operational range, turn speed, speed and ammunition capacity

I have supermanuverbility, superior avionics and electronics countermeasures, climb rate and stealth.

Seems fair to me.

That's 4 to 6 ...

besides the fact that I also have supermaneuverability... And the forward swept wings at least make climb rate equal... or close.

Well, the ATD-X have greater supermaneuverability due to 3D trust vectoring. Well , it is 4 to 5, well once you combine your 4, it is worth 5 of mine. Well anyways....yeah, climb rate equal, but I have supercruise.

OOC: Pretty much all 5th generation fighters including the SU-47, ATD-X, and the raptor can supercruise.

In game:

I touched down at the airfield and headed in for some lunch and a break.

Out of Game: Su-47 is technically 4.5 or 4.5 to 5th, since it does not have sufficient stealth ( they have no stealth ). It is a technology demonstrator, much like the F-15 STOL/MTD. Also, F-22 have a lot faster supercruise.

OOC: The problem with the ATD-X is that almost no specific information can be found on it.

General characteristics

Crew: 1
Length: 14.174m ()
Wingspan: 9.099m ()
Height: 4.514m ()
Max takeoff weight: 8t ()
Powerplant: 2× IHI XF5-1 afterburning turbofans
Dry thrust: ? () each
Thrust with afterburner: 5t () each
Performance

that is about as much as we know about it, in a year we will know more with it's first test flight.

Well, it have everything the F-22 has but more. They already built one. It have more powerful engines ( which I assume faster speed, and climb rate ). It probably will have AT LEAST or even more control surfaces. 3D trust vectoring, Self-Repairing Flight Control, Flight by optics .ect

It's a fifth generation fighter, you dont have to have stealth (besides which the production models do have stealth paint).

Im talking about if this fighter were to become a production fighter. If you want to shoot down my use of the plane because it may or may not become a real fighter than I can say that about the ATD-X because it does not even exist yet outside of the drawing board. So lets not use that argument.

Here, why dont we just use the stats in terms of numbers.

Here is the SU-47

It has to have stealth to be fifth generation I believe, also Stealth paint will only help a bit, surface area, and edges also play a part. USA release much less information, due to the fact that they are combat aircraft in service, instead of a technology demonstrator, I mean Russia might give the contract to Mikoyan instead, they also have something on the drawing board, or they will merely use the Su-37, but I have no problem with you using it.

How about this:

You get: Speed ( maximum ), Ammunition Capacity, Turn Speed, and Operational Range

Me: Suprcruise, Avionics, Electronic Countermeasures, Supermanuverbility, and Stealth

Equal: Climb rate

Shogun shook his hand, the American said, "Lt. Colonel Robert Miller,"

Shogun saluted,

"Sir, I am Captain Shogun Minamoto,"

He smiled and said,

"Stand down, no need from formalities here,"

OUT OF GAME: Liuetenant Hans is at the Japanese High Command, at the front gates to be exact. Requesting to meet.

sweet everybodies here.

Sorry I left early yesterday. I took this typhoid vaccine yesterday. Holy fuck it hurt. I took it in the pill form and I have a sensitive stomach. It hurt like fucking hell. I know pain, I broke my arm and had to get it reset in place without anesthesia, and the stomach pain I had yesterday came pretty damn close.

If you ever get offered a needle by a doctor for any reason whatsoever, it would be in your best intrest to take it. I still feel kinda queezy.

Ouch....hope you are feeling better. :D
