We had recieved messages from Moscow, the newest submarines, the Alfa-2's were entering commission, and fast, they could run at comparable speeds and silence of the Seawolf class. Thus far there were six and three of which were wreaking havoc along the coast.

We had come across the chance encounter of a small convoy of civilian ships, two oil tankers arriving to offload their cargo and an escorting frigate. We fired torpedos at all three and sank the oil tankers aong with their cargo and severely damaged the frigate We recieved no counter attack.

The Russians have always been absurdly good at submarine construction though. They make it work pretty darned well. The problem with the Japanese subs is they are spread to thin, they get conflicting messages about where each Russian sub is and they are moving so quickly to go from one sighting to another they cant hear the Russian subs even if they tried and they just run by them.

I-500 fast, maneuverable, and stealthy, but weak in armor and firepower. Thanks for being a good sport

Really the two characteristics of subs are really speed and stealth. The Russians are the only ones that use a larger than standard torpedo tube (65 cm), what do you think about 18 knots withut cavitating and max speed of 35 knots?

It is also going to be a small sub. Yeah I think 35 knots is fair.
