Yamato Squadron got their trays. They stood in the line waiting for the food, Masaru whispered to Shogun, "Sir, do you think the Bratwurst will be good?" Shogun then whispered, "I hope so, why not try some new food,"
Otto began listing the items. "Today we have Bratwurst, Sushi, and beef. You can have a side of potato or corn. And for beverages coffee, water, and milk."
We pushed off, this time there were no German subs watching us...that seemed like a good sign. I climbed up the conning tower and into the control room. we closed the hatch.
"Dive 1000 meters, set revolutions for 20 knots, down 21 degree bow planes"-Dimitri
"Aye sir" the various helmsmen said.
I could feel the submarine dive down and could feel the final part of the conning tower enter the water.

They all wanted the same food, Bratwurst with Potatoes and Milk. Shogun and his squadron discussed it for a short while and said,
"Twelve Bratwurst with Potatoes and Milk please,"
"Alot of variety there." The cook said.
"We wanted to try Bratwurst, prefer potatoes over corn and milk is the healthier choice out of the beverages, we also have the same good, so none of us can complain about their dish,"
"Ok. But you do realise you dish yor own food right?" The cook and several men began lightly laughing. Otto then interupted: "Hey, knock it off! They're our allies now, so show them some respect." The laughter abruptly stopped.
Shogun chose to ignore the chefs and said to Otto,
"Thank you, Sergeant,"
"It's ok. The men will get used to having allies." Otto dished his own food and sat at a table.
Some officer showed me the headlines from a translated German newspaper. It was about the Dimitriy and the picture that was taken while we were in the Russian dock. They had several idiotic "experts" making bogus claims about the submarine. Things such as "with a single nuclear reactor the dimitriy is the slowest and most underpowered submarine in the world" pffft. Those fools did not even see the thing in real life, they made idiotic guesses they knew nothing about.
