"Sir, we have a massive problem"-A Japanese air force major said walking into the commandant's office.
"What now" the commandant said
"We just managed to find out about a message a certain soviet submarine sent to Moscow."-Major
"Oh, is this THAT submarine" the commandant said laying a translated Russian newspaper with the Dimitriy and her crew smiling broadly on the deck of the ship in port on the front headline and picture.
"We think it may be."-Major
"No sh1t Major? I figured that out a while ago."-Commandant said obviously stressed over the new war and the situation
"Sir, the message we decrypted was a set of three messages. As you know the Chinese detonated a nuke that we think rendered every nuke in the world inert and destroyed their guidance computers."-Major
"Get on with it major"-the commandant said
"Sir, after the detonation the Dimitriy reported into Moscow reporting that a massive spike in radio waves had been detected. Moscow replied that every nuclear missile and weapon in Russia, China, and the world had been destroyed...."-Major
"Major, Im getting the feeling your wasting my time"-The commandant said a little angrily
"Sir," the major said nervously "the Dimitriy replied to that message, they stated that when the Chinese nuke had been set off they had been sitting on the sea bed almost 1300 feet under water. They reported that all 26 nuclear missiles aboard were fully functional and ready to be launched on any notice"-The major said
"That can't be right. A typhoon only has 20 nukes first off, and secondly every other ballistic missile submarine also had it's nukes fried, every nuke in the world is dead major."-The commandant said with less than total confidence.
"I can't explain it sir, but this is legitimate because it went straight to Gorchav, sir, every nuke in the world is dead except for 26, and those 26 are on the world's fastest, quietest, and most lethal submarine, sir, this is a crisis, Russia has 26 nukes ready to launch that nobody else does, I think sir we need to call back our fighters."-the major said
"What good will that do?!? They cant launch torpedos theyre way, way too fast."-The commandant said
"Sir, we could try attaching sonobuoys but Id guess only one in three would survive impact. But we could also try and retrain them to command the Orion's and use them to find it."-Major
"that's ridiculous!"
"Sir, there are 26 nuclear missiles on that boat, each one has 12 independant warheads that will split off in space, we haven't even been able to effectively shoot these things down with any anti air system, the Russians put in countermeasures into each one and the ability to do evasive maneuvers. Sir, this boat is carrying 26 G-d damn Bulava (OOC: a real missile btw) missiles."
