Okay, shogun, since I've been doing this I've never really been told explicitly about your vichi empire. Only stuff I've been able to learn from the story.

So could you give me a run down of everything I need to know? Is it on earth? A colonial space station? planet?

System of government and where you fit into it. Military, etc...
 
"Alright, the camo is up, the new cloaks should work well. Now we finally have a chance to try out that new 'logistics' pod since we'll be here for a while spying on them." I said

"I have to agree." Cade said

I got out of my mech and used the retractable hook to get into the pod's main crew area. I sat back on the couch and flipped the tv on.

"Anything good on?" Cade asked as he walked in.

"Nah, just movies I guess." I said

"Guess it'll have to do" cade replied as we began searching through drawers and the bookshelf for a decent movie.

I didn't tell you specifically, but I made it before you joined and so I will write a summary for you. I will think it over the details. But mostly, it is a large interstellar Empire that owns most of the UEA colonies and have numerous artificial colonies, but still clings to large territories on Earth ( mostly near the Mediterranean Sea and Northern Europe around the Artic and Baltic, plus far East and Northeast Asia, and Africa near the Mediterranean ). It is a very benevolent Empire and citizens enjoy great freedom, one of the greatest actually. It have a strong military, the SINGLE strongest in the UEA ( concentrating more on quality then quantity, reverse of the Galactic Empire ). Have the best tech. It also leads the Earth Defense Union.

Much like United States of America today, but very very different and Union is slightly like NATO.

Here is the vague summary, I will give you a detail later.

In game:

"Shit, powering up" I said

I grabbed my helmet and secured it on hapharzardly and then secured myself to the cockpit seat.

"shutting down mirage." Cade said

The cloak shut down as the enemy began bearing down on us.

"Deploying." Cade said

Two large positron cannons swung over his shoulders, folded down over his shoulders, a large 80 mm beam gattling gun extended downwards from his back, linked to his left arm which in turn pulled it up. Then his right arm openned up deploying his missile system.

"Cover fire!" Cade yelled, he openned up with everything, the beam cannons tore through the enemy ranks while pathfinder missiles lit up the sky with explosions. His gattling guns tearing through anything that got too close.

An enemy mech jumped from the other side of the cliff and was about to slice into him.

I swung around Cade's back and blocked it with my left hand's sword while I pulled out the shotgun and eliminated the enemy point blank with it.

"Large phased particle array firing" I yelled.

The wings folded outwards and the feathers unfolded like petals from a flower.

"Maximum area of effect!" I said

The massive beam was dispersed over a vast area annihalating all of the mechs in front of us and then some. After it was done and the wings had folded back all that was left was fiery wreckedge falling from the skies.

"We had better get going." Cade said

"Roger that" I replied.

We took off.

Vichi Empire consists of most of Europe and Africa around the Mediterranean Sea, and Northern Europe near the Arctic and Baltic. Then it also owns East and Northeast Asia. It also owns most of the colonies in the United Earth Alliance and all of the "frontier" colonies, and countless orbital colonies. It is the major power of the UEA, much like the United States is today. It is mostly a space faring Empire that still clings on to large territory on Earth. The capital being a huge artificial island in the middle of the Mediterranean called Genesis City, or more commonly referred to as the Imperial Capital. It leads a group of nations ( I have listened 'em ) the Earth Defense Union. Earth Defense Union are pretty much North America, Vichi Empire, Non-Vichi Western Europe, lead by the Vichi Empire. It is much like NATO, but with slightly closer ties. They are one of the few nations ( others being Union of North American States ( North America ) and the New European Union ( non-Vichi western and northern Europe ) ) that have their own military force and the Vichi Empire is independently governed ( like other larger nations ). The Refromist League as a whole does have their independent military force and are independent, but it is them as a League not individuals.

To put it into the best historical sense as possible, the Union is like NATO and the League the Warsaw Pact.

The Vichi Empire is confusing...it is like a mix between the British Empire and the United States.

Vichi Empire has the strongest SINGLE military force. Its soldiers are highly skilled specialists and its equipment the most expensive and the most advanced. Quality instead of quantity. It have the biggest and strongest navy in the UEA, the Vichi Empire is the only nation in the UEA that have the capability to produce Mobile Suits. Even though Mobile Suits are widely used, it replaced fighters, however bombers are still used, researched and developed, and are focusing more on speed and stealth of delivery instead of payload.

The Vichi Empire is the most advanced nation on Earth, and with one of the lowest population density due to he space faring nature of the Vichi Empire. It is the main facilitator and mediator of peace in the UEA, and it is the mediator between most UEA foreign relations, the most famous being the Empire of Greater Xenturia, a powerful and advanced alien Empire. UEA fought the Xenturians before, over a misunderstanding on the part of an UEA Captain. The Vichi Empire refrained from fighting at first, then when the other nations started to crumble and the UEA's lines started receding did they lead the charge. Xenturian technology far outmatched human technology, and the Empire fought on regardless and lost many soldiers and made many sacrifices. A strike force lead by Yorimoto vi Yamato had success, but negotiated with ( and fell for ) Princess Sakura Xenturia, and decided to stop the fighting themselves and refuse to fight. Fighting stopped and Vichi and Xenturia became very close.

It is thanks to Xenturian technology that Vichi expanded and rebuilt very quickly afterwards.

After the Holian Space War, the UEA ceded most of the planets scarred by the war and the uninhabited and uninhabitable to the Vichi Empire to support, because the Empire is the only nation that can. Resulting in the Treaty of Genesis and made a lot of people very unhappy, mostly some of the former colonists.

So how did the Empire get started?

It used to be a nomadic and aggressive Empire that conquered and plundered ( thats how the Empire got their planets in the UEA interior and Earth ). Then after generations and over the years, the Empire gradually changed into a free, benevolent nation.

Politics?

It have laws that everyone, from Emperor to a homeless man must obey. The Emperor have a court that it much like a parliament.
 
"You seem pretty sure of yourself," she said with a grin

"Me? Of course, I'm me, and I always know what I'm doing,"

"Right....you weren't so confident in stasis,"

"Who said I wasn't?" he then said jokingly, "Maybe not, I was expecting a experienced and skilled doctor, then I get you, life is not perfect,"

"Just be lucky I am there, or life will really not be perfect for you,"

They laughed, he then pointed at a building,

"There it is,"

She turned and landed at the landing pad on that building.

Rico got off first and opened the door for her, she stepped off and said teasing him,

"Last person I would expect to do this,"

"What do ya know? Surprises everyday,"
 
Hey shogun, after all these battles chances are the holians probably got some tapes they might wanna show you guys before they release it to the rest of the military since you are the elites after all.

Is there anything you may have that my guys could use? Something I could use in my plotline that could help intertwine it with yours?

Also, sorry but I won't be able to continue my story tonight. A tad busy.

No worries, so was I, I just came back from a date actually :D

Oh yeah, the Super Soldiers are going to releasing something from their assault on Epsilon ( the name of the military star system they smashed ) that might cause quite a stir...
 
"Alright Adder, you got the shot?" I asked over the comm

"Roger, just don't move a muscle." adder said

Adder was standing ontop of the right shoulder of my mech with my railgun on a bipod, a few lines of rope was all that kept him from certain doom.

"Taking the shot" he said

I heard the sonic boom as the projectile flew at mach 10. I saw with my zoom optics it hit the camp commander's head.

He was a corrupt bastard that had sent so many to their graves.

Alarms went off.

"Time to get going" I said

"Roger that." adder said

A second later he hopped through the hatch into the cockpit and got behind my seat.

"Lets roll" he said

I took off as the hatch closed. We managed to escape before retaliation.

"Another mission accomplished" Adder said
 
"Admiral Cera, I must so you something ma'am," Captain Minamoto said urgently,

"What is it Captain?" she said calm, she needed to remain so, until after she retired to her quarters,

"Bring up Admiral Shogun vi Yamato's message to us before he launched,"

"Aye sir,"

Her right hand shook when she watched the recording, the wound was still too raw. He made a contingency plan without telling her. He never changed the contingency TO before a launch, and his death arrangements. He probably didn't want to worry her, but it was the first time Shogun realized he might not come back alive.

"Make the necessary arrangements, Admiral Minamoto, then I will assume command, temporary and supernumerary, per Admiral Yamato's orders,"

"Ma'am, you believe he is still alive?"

She calmed herself completely and placed herself in a void. She could feel that Shogun's Geass still exists, therefore he is not dead, nobody can cancel a Geass power save for death.

"Yes, I know he is not dead,"
 
OOC: can geass's do that? Pretty slick.

In game:

"Whoa whoa whoa." I said

My vision was blurring

"///Analyzing///" a mechanical voice said

"What's going on?" Adder asked

I collapsed in the hallway.

"Tori!!!" Adder yelled

I was lurched into a vision.

It looked like the ship, like a dream, I could see myself but not from my own perspective. "Symbiotic Intelligent Device active" the voice said

Everything went from normal to a sort of thermal imaging picture, I saw the hallways, adder, I couldn't speak.

"Analysis complete, Solitude class cruiser, moderate armament:

1. @@#@$^@#(^#@)
2. !#)^@@*^#)((8)(&
3. #$%*&%$*#(@()@I(
4. (@!#!^$#!&^()*)*^"

It must have encrypted the information.

"Life form, Sutori, base organism, engaging symbiosis." the mechanical voice said

Just as I had been flung into this dream I was flung back out

My vision was mostly black, tunnel vision. I couldn't remember anything, where was I?

Then the blood started to clear it up, I remembered everything again.

"Tori!" Adder said,

He put and a hand on my shoulder and rolled me over.

"You okay?" he asked

I gasped "I...I think I need to go to medical." I said

"Alright, hold on" he said, he pulled me up by the shoulder onto my feet and I started limping, with his help, to where medical was.

no, not veda. Idea is that the spinal prosthetic, uses regenerative nano material (idea that it gets damaged, it can naturally regenerate over time). Its connected so much to the brains neurons, so it starts to emulate, sort of like a neural network machine.

Even the brain doesn't have nearly the capacity for a fraction of veda.
