Sciforums Fleet

Shogun unleashed a salvo of 5 missiles. He couldn't use reaction warheads, there will be nothing left to examine if he did, literally. He did a flip, and then charged at the enemy mech at full speed, then he had zero horizontal movement without decelerating, the tensors and the forces simply canceled each other for a split second there. He unloaded another salvo and then flew upwards full speed, ready to bring his sword down again. He did superficial damage, and damaged its shield, this will finish it, this will be the fatal blow. He was wrong, the mech disappeared again...

I solidified at least a hundred feet behind the mech with my four wings deployed with the feathers pointed at the enemy mech.

"Charged" I said

The twin rows of feathers on each wing spread out and rotated so that they lay perpendicular to how they had before. It looked like a large golden satellite dish.

"Firing!" I yelled

Lightning danced across the feathers as the tremendous stored up energy reached the emitters, a millisecond before firing a blade came out of nowhere it must have been thrown by the other mech, I dodged barely but it was such that it threw off my aim.

A massive beam of energy shot forth from the massive array in a large cylinder, even though I missed the ideal hit, I managed to catch two of his legs in the beam which promptly obliterated them into oblivion.

After several seconds the beam subsided and the wings folded back into place.

OOC: Since the massive phased particle array that the wing emits shoots phased particles as well as the beam itself, you can if you like give your character some interesting side effects from exposure, not all of which have to be negative.

Shogun sealed his leg units, and jettisoned its remaining stubs at the enemy mech.

"Shogun! Damage?!"

"Leg units critical and jettisoned,"

"Reaction warheads?"

"Not yet, not just yet, we will go critical if we use it right now,"

She mumbled something in a language he didn't understand, Xenta, the Xenturian tongue perhaps?

Out of Game: Wanna end it now? If you don't mind I would like to post the last moments of our 1 on 1 :D

Oh okay :D The effects will show up, during the end of our 1 on 1 :D Nothing permanent of course :D

sure, have a blast.

He shot two shots at close range, damaging their armor. He was subsequently kicked in the head, while firing his third, which by a fluke hit the enemy's communication encryption.

"Tori! Watch out!"

"I'm alright Kent, worry about yourself,"

He voice for slightly familiar....he shook the thought away.He got a plan. He threw his rifle at the enemy, then grabbed his SMG and destroyed his rifle at point-blank of the enemy with a clean shot. He then fired three missiles, containing shield bits, the missile separated in what seemed to be an random pattern. He started to feel warm...that was funny. Then he felt his feet frozen. He shook it off, with a mild headache now. The enemy charged fired three shows, Shogun fired a missile at one and dodged the other two, one scraping his neck. He unleashed another salvo, the enemy charged at him.

"Shogun!"

He didn't have time to explain to her, he was his own bait. He turned on his Geass for the split-second timing, right at the right moment, he unleashed a burst of shots, hitting just millimeters apart on a shield bit, then deflected off others, while conserving its energy almost perfectly. All of them converged on the enemy mech's back, right behind its cockpit. Before the heat can dissipate, Cera shot at that point, blowing open its armor, revealing the inner hull and a direct kill, one shot or one stab will do the trick. Then suddenly his Geass eye went crazy, he was getting a skull-splitting headache. He could however, through all the chaos, hear a scream, a dreadful, ear-piercing scream...from Cera. His mind suddenly cleared, and then was overloaded again, but this time was controlled and organized. He could think a lot faster then before, and his eyes glowed. He must be in what they called "Super Soldier Mode", he was supposed to be one of the very few that can enter it, but he never has before. He had a terrible pain and a splitting headache from before, it didn't cease, but he endured it, with tears in his eyes from the pain, he haven't cried from pain in a long time. The other enemy mech then sliced Cera's VF's head right off cleanly.

He sliced the weapons arm off of the mech he is facing quickly, shouting,

"Get out of my way!"

He then heard,

"Tori!"

He rushed at the other enemy, transforming to fighter mode, then quickly back to mech mode again to slice his wing right off. He grabbed the slice and threw it back at the mech that he was originally fighting, but was dodged. He fired all a full massacre of missiles at the mech he was originally fighting, it was a phenomenal sight actually, to see all those missiles streaking across space. He then lifted up his SMG, ready to unleash a burst.

He then hit....alarms rang and lights flashed. It was the hyperdrive...he can't go back on his own now. Then SMG was subsequently destroyed and then a powerful shot destroyed all the missiles with one shot. Then he saw the enemies, his Geass told him to get Cera out of the line of fire. He charged at Cera's VF, pushing it away with his VF's body, the shot scratching his still usable arm.

Out of nowhere, a Holian fleet appeared, what he heard on the enemy's comms was strange,

"Oh shit, Holians,"

"Fuck, their reinforcements came, we need to run, Kent, Tori, we are busting out of here, full speed, hit it!"

"Oh fuck, we can't win this, Kent we are leaving, I was right, they were an advance unit,"

So they weren't Holians? Then who were they fighting? Who had such advanced technologies that even outclass his own? He just then realized who was in the cockpit, it was an old friend, Zero...why did they call him Tori? Thoughts ran through his head in a lighting pace, questions popped up everywhere, his mind is in chaos, but somehow he can process it. No time for that,

"Cera, get out of here!"

"What about you?!"

"You need to leave, I can't, my hyperdrive have been damaged, I will hold them off for you, run!" Shogun said hurriedly,

"No, I am not leaving you!"

"JUST GO WILL YOU!" Shogun shouted, he never shouted at Cera before, something was wrong after he was hit with the beam from the wings, he then broke down in tears and said,

"I'm sorry...I'm sorry..."

A part of him was shouting that something was wrong with him,

"Don't die...you still owe me...that kiss..." she said, trying her best to keep herself under control, her best wasn't enough.

"I will-" she was about to say, "I will come back for you," but was cut off by Shogun,

"I won't....I love you!" he said full of emotion. He had no control and no idea what is going on by this point. Then communications broke down. Cera reluctantly left, she knew she had to go, in order to call for backup and someone to pick Shogun up. She turned at the fleet and unleashed everything, including the reaction warheads. The right wing of the fleet was taken out, and part of the center. She then left in tears. Shogun shook his head to clear his mind, he fired everything he got, wave after wave, dealing critical damage to the left wing of the fleet. He put his picture of Cera in front of him, like many pilots have done across history. He then charged at the enemy. Next thing he know...he was catch in a strong, giant stasis field. He then taped the picture of Cera under his seat, he had no idea why. He checked his personal weapons, he isn't going quiet.

OOC: The full names Sutori, but I just like tori better as a nickname. Just to explain why you can hear my character being called either one.

In game:

"Holy shit, you guys okay?!" Adder said

We were on final approach into the solitude and after we get stowed were heading out of this crappy place.

"Yah, its just a flesh wound." I said

"Same...although..." Kent said

"Shut up Kent." I knew what he was getting at.

"Tori here phased quite a few times." he said "plus he used the array"

"Oh great, now you've done it." I said

"You did what?!?" captain rosenthal yet

"Yah, I used the phased oscillator, and yah, it helped save your asses, your welcome." I exclaimed

"That's not the point." she yelled

"Why are you so damn willing to die?!" she yelled

"Because there are other people more important then me that need to live!" I yelled

"Your hardly eighteen years old! You have a future to think about, stop knocking on death's door, someday it will answer!" she yelled

"I don't have a future! Don't you guys get it?" I said to everyone in the room "This is what I do! I kill, and I keep people from being killed. That's what I have always done and that's what I will always do!" I yelled

"That's pretty sick." Kim said

"That's war, I am expendable! What the hell else am I here for? To better myself? Don't make me laugh, I come out here and I am expected to slaughter other people that I have nothing against! To better holians everywhere? Pffft, if it weren't for them, people like me would not have to exist!" I yelled

"So don't talk to me about 'sick', you came from a college, one of the best out there, your parents are rich. I came from dirt, I am expendable, you are not. That is the world that exists!" I exclaimed

There was silence. I immediately left the room, man I was pissed off.

I forgot to mention my plan for them. Basically, the end effects on my guy is that he is permanently a phased instability, he can phase in and out of space naturally and then create phased tunnels for objects or other people, but not particularly large or long lasting, maybe 15 minutes. (think portal-esque). But thats not for a long while.

On another subject, something interesting about Purdue is that Amelia Earheart was hired there as a "counselor in the careers for women" from 1935 to 1937, they even provided the funds for her plane that she used to try and circumnavigate the globe.

Also, they have an airport and for a while had their own small airlines called "purdue airlines" made up of DC-9's.

Hugh Hefner's famous playboy DC-9 was leased from Purdue airlines and Purdue was its permanent storage.

They even gave it the nickname of "Hare-force one" :p

Oh, my plan for my char is to have double Geass, bu that is not for a really long while. After this civil war, and the middle of another way. Oh yeah, my guy won't have this Geass ( he will technically still have it but not remember it at all ) during the mind wipe, I will he will get a new one...one that can command anyone to do anything. But there are limits.

-Commands must be issued verbally ( therefore victim must comprehend it )

-Direct eye contact needed, and range of 272 meters. However, it is possible to use direct reflection

-One person can only be Geassed once. However, any number of commands can be given in the first process as long as eye contact is not broken.

-A person can only preform what is to their very limits of their mental and physical capability, or die trying. ( It appears to be enhancing their ability, because humans can rarely reach their limits of their mental and physical capabilities )

-A command will be in effect for as long as indicated or upon completion. If no indication, then it is till death...

-Memories for the duration of the command being issued and the execution, plus a few seconds will be lost.

-Victims may attempted to resist, but it will be futile. They can resist to some degree if it is repugnant or they can't morally comprehend it. It will end up being futile. I will make exceptions to that rule though, a few...

I don't want to powergame, so do you think it is fair?

It seems a bit, powerful. But hell, I suppose my guy's would be pretty damn powerful too. Go for it.

Although, do you mind if the people on the ship I'm on are immune due to the fact that they were also exposed to phased particles? albeit they can't use powers since you need a more robust body.

Nice :D

Pretty cool for an university to have their own airlines eh?

Umm...what about RMC...umm...

Well, basically every Canadian military officer graduated from it, except for those who went to OCS, flight school, or direct commission I guess

Why not, I wasn't planning on using it on you guys anyways, because in mech-to-mech, it is inapplicable, and if you wear a helmet with visor, well doesn't work either.

I don't think they have their own airlines any more, and it was really just a collection of DC-9's run from the university's airport.

Oh, but still, not many universities got to do that.

Is it a publicly-funded or private?

I was under the impression it was private. I don't think its running anymore, but you can charter planes as well as obtain a pilot's license from the airport.

Cera couldn't make the trip in one jump, her MS was scorched and damaged, with the head and left arm ripped clean off and damages everywhere, all over. She had to make successive jumps, she prayed that Shogun will hold out long enough for them to rescue him. She knew the chances were slim...but nonetheless...
______________________

Shogun locked and loaded, and brought as much as he can carry and fight with. MS started deploying everywhere, every single MS in that huge fleet have deployed and surrounded him in as dense a sphere as possible. 36 came and shot cables and gel at his joints...whats left of them that is. Another 24 came and shot webs. One took a shot at his head and it came clean off...now he will have no idea what is going on outside. They carried him to th flagship with all the MS as escorts. He could feel the thump as he landed somewhat in the hanger and then the hanger bay doors closed. It can't really be called a landing. He calmed himself and turned on his Geass...he could sense footsteps coming closer, they placed charges on his hull, near the cockpit, enough to blow them open without injuring him. He then hear them left. He tensed up, and tried to calm himself down. After a few minutes, he could hear a voice in his head,

"You may come out now,"

He was prepared to lob grenades the moment the hatch opened. It blew open, he threw his grenades and then went for cover. He then heard targets closing in, with wheels. Probably drones, he thought. He popped up quickly and fire at the drones he could see. The more he destroyed, the more that came through the door. He fired as fast as he could, and lobbed grenades. Eventually however, he was overwhelmed and surrounded. He then heard the same voice,

"Put down all your weapons and keep your mind clear, or we will shoot to kill,"

Psychics he though, it must be, or there won't be a need for him to keep his mind clear for them. He knew he didn't have a chance, so he played along.

A group of men then came through the door, 15 men in fact. They were all dressed in Holian Scout armor, but without weapons. A men the spoke, a different voice. He was a middle-aged man,

"You may have two weapons of your choice, pick them now and quickly,"

He grabbed his SMG and his beam katana off the floor.

"Stay where you are!"

Then droids came through the side doors and took the rest, they left. The man pressed a button and then the drones surrounding him exploded.

"We will engage in glorious combat, 1 on 1 for the first round, you may do whatever you wish,"

He sent a man down to face him, they are all psychics, no doubt about it. He jumped down and shot a stream ( note, not bolt ) or lightning at him. Shogun jumped high and did a flip backwards behind cover. He turned on his Geass again. The best way to combat a psychic is to overload your own mind, so they can't read it. For a average man, it is impossible to use his Geass, it would cause a neural breakdown and death. Shogun returned fire, the man jumped quickly and was propelled upward at an incredible speed. The man bounced off the roof towards him. He used his Geass to do a few calculations at lightning-speeds and then fired at what seemed to be a random point, he fried the man. Just to be sure, he leaped as well, slicing the man's head clean off. The remains then smashed against the floor. They probably wasn't counting on him to have Geass, if they know what it is...
