I was looking at one of my new rounds. I saw the jacket on the tip, the blueish sheen of the osmium on the tip, and the dull silver of the body of the bullet. It was a piece of art.
I loaded it into the barrel manually and took aim. There the governor of the state was running for re election. He was speaking from the platform and there was 5 layers of plexiglass each one spaced apart by two inches in front of him. They figured there was not a bullet in the world that could penetrate three let alone five layers of plexiglass.
"I hope they are wrong".
I pulled the trigger and there was a loud bang, I watched the distortion in the air the bullet left behind it like a trail. I saw it get to the plexiglass in maybe half a second, in a split second I had the thought "the moment of truth" I saw one plexiglass shield crack and shatter, the second shattered, the third, the fourth... the fifth, I saw the bullet enter the governor's chest and exit and go through another two or maybe even three people that were sitting behind him in chairs. I even saw it go through the last guy. There was shouting everywhere as I walked off. I was damn happy, hell, joyous, I just set a world record, I fired a bullet from 2000 meters away that penetrated through five layers of plexiglass and through three people and still manage to exit. I was damned proud.
