Not. a. single. word.

I await your criticism of the proposed massacre of Jews by the invading Arab armies in 1948 with great anticipation.

Or, of any example of cultural oppression of any group by members of your religion.

To date, however, it's been:

Not. a. single. word.

The thing is, Jesus is known as making peace or (in general) being peaceful. He cautions his followers NOT to be violent.

I do not come in peace, with a sword.

I will sow seeds of discord.

Buy a sword even if you have to sell your shirts.

Peaceful?

Metaphorical.

Unless you have that elusive bit of text where Jesus cut off Pilate's head?

keep in mind, this objection was from his side not from my side. i never said to anyone, ithere never existed any friendship becaue you chose to be a jew/christian/hindu . in other words,i dont want to be your friend because your a jew/christian/hindu .

Would you choose friendship with a jew/christian/hindu over your religion, or would you choose your religion first?

this is new. so your mean there is no difference between you and a pig/dog/horse/birds?If yes, then i can understand your quote.

We are all mammals/animals, birds are not mammals but they are still animals. There obviously is a difference, but that is because we have evolved along different paths from similar ancestors.

Pilate's head was too heavily guarded to be cut off. But the ear of a man was indeed chopped off.

Hmm. Whenever confronted, IT IS METAPHORICAL, not real. So what is the real bible?

As far xians; how should they treat non-believers?

Kill them.

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you ... Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die. -- Deuteronomy 13:6-10
Shun them.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? ... Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord. -- 2 Corinthians 6:14-17

The metaphors and stories are the real Bible. That is one of its great virtues - humans learn to be deeply and profoundly moral, ethical, etc, through stories and metaphors.

Oh, bollocks. Jesus is the son of God and all that. If he wanted the whammy on you, he slapped it down. Jesus would have blown his head off with incendiary rounds out of an M-60.

Whose ear are we talking here?

The same one as written on the pages in front of you. On second read, you might find a deeper message therein, if you chance to try it.

Admittedly, the book really should come with a "WARNING: REQUIRES A MODICUM OF FORETHOUGHT" stamp on the front page, but for many people this is already second nature.

You'll notice we don't do the Deuteronomy thing any more, either. We've come a long way, baby.
